I don’t think any brand name should be permanently on display on a news program. Thankfully, most TV screens are slimline and don’t have the brand in such a prominent position these days.

Maybe it’s paid product placement?

They probably got the TVs for free as part of some deal with Sony.

Well, that’s what’s bad about it. So what happens if there is a negative story about the sponsor. Do they avoid it, so as not to offend? Some things should be exempt from product placements.
