Media Spy: History and Memories

I believe I joined old media spy in 2003 or 2004. As bbcworld2003 or something similar I think :joy:

We are old @OnAir :joy:

I think “OnAir” needs to change their name to "StillOnAirandsurvivedanalogueswitchoff*

@OnAir I just embarrassed myself and went way back to 2004 as a 14/15 year old on the old TVF. Awkward. Some things shouldn’t be archived.

So I quick look at this thread it sounds like there has been some very creepy times here at Media Spy. Glad it has improved since those early days . I had a look at Media Spy through archive.org and yes the original media spy definetly was in… stalker like of female news presenters.

I can clearly state that out of the forum softwares used , Discourse is clearly the better one.

Does anyone know if the forums from the pre 2015 era switch over are archived anywhere? The Wayback machine and webarchives don’t have a great record of the threads.
I’m particularly interested in looking at the coverage of ‘breaking news’ events about 10 years ago, and comparing the differences to now.

We need a 10 years logo for the 10th anniversary of the current MS.
Someone paste the 10 logo next to Media Spy logo

Tapatalk or whatever was a good app though to use the old site.

There are still insiders  In fact, I have it on good authority a lot of people in high places at networks peruse these forums. You’d be surprised. Whether they actually post is a whole different story.

No way, people at networks know who lil ol’ us are on MS?
Would love to know the chuckles they get out of reading our forums
