Shame to hear about Bozo. I thought I was quite a fit guy but apparently he was suffering from cancer.

… it’s so sad that this lovely lady’s memory will be forever sullied by lazy, ignorant people who call themselves journalists rushing to Wikipedia as their only source and all (except David at TV Tonight) publishing that she represented the UK at the 1957 Eurovision Song Contest … she didn’t … (Wiki has since been corrected) …

Even Angela Bishop “reported” it in her tribute to Lorrae Desmond on Studio 10 this morning. This is the definition of fake news. Does nobody do fact checking anymore? Would have taken two minutes.

All these entertainment reporters and “gurus” who can’t check a basic fact.

But it seems Nine News at least saw fit not to “report” something that never happened…

The Seven News Online story has doubled down on the fake news by stating Lorrae Desmond represented Australia at Eurovision.

If it wasnt Eurovision weekend, do you think her involvement (even as tenious as it is) would have been reported?

I think the funeral will probably be broadcast.

Aw, what a shame.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that The Very Hungry Caterpillar was probably everyone’s first real reading experience. Hell, that book alone grew like two generations of readers.

Yep. My 6 year old now is loving it. such a shame
