Worth noting that the first episode of the new series of Who Do You Think You Are? features Barry.

Perhaps a change in the schedule to bring it forward a week.

They just had a breaking news strap on the AFL with the news too, not too often they have those.

A huge loss that’s currently filling social media - a true Aussie comedy legend. I’m assuming there will be a state funeral offered.

A breaking news strap announcing Barry’s death was shown on screen before the start of the second half of tonight’s AFL match between Geelong and Sydney. Seven commentator Hamish McLachlan paid a short tribute.

The death also happened on the second last night of 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Everyone remembers Dame Edna and Sir Les Patterson, and some even Sandy Stone. But one I wasn’t aware of was Big Sonia, appearing on Seven’s The Entertainers in 1969.
