If I hadn’t attended the Masterchef challenge in China Town a few weeks ago I would have tried a lot harder to get off work that afternoon, but had a pretty busy day so was too hard to get out on short notice. Plus there’s other rounds so I’m trying for Round 3 The answer is pretty easy.
Oh, when you said 330pm I thought you meant on some future day to give you time to arrange it, not the same day. That’s not enough notice.
Yeah it was literally filmed 3.30pm on Wednesday.
That meant at least a restaurant would be open this week at short notice. Entries to solve clue #2 closed yesterday morning, and the restaurant was filmed later that afternoon. Using the same analogy, another restaurant would have opened on Monday (clue #1) and the third restaurant will open tomorrow for clue #3. Or, two restaurants would be running yesterday and another two will open tomorrow, since George, Gary, Matt and Heston cannot go around all four restaurants on the same day/night.
The 4th and final clue to register to eat at Heston’s hidden restaurant in Melbourne is here. You have now until 11am AEDT tomorrow (Tuesday) to solve the clue and register in the draw.
It will take a long time to produce this episode of MasterChef. 4 separate days of restaurants plus 4 days of recording contestants’ recounting their experiences.
Is it all for one episode or the entire Heston week?
Seems like alot for a single episodes, surely this forms part of the whole week’s worth of episodes.
They should be begging us to eat there.
Silly, tiresome forced social media ‘interaction’ with fans.
It has to be different episodes. The one they did last Monday was looking for about 80 people and then the one during the week wanted more like 300 people (so that was probably the team challenge).
I think you underestimate the pulling power of Heston. Every foodie would dream to be involved in something involving Heston.
If the four restaurants are different episodes, how are the contestants going to be eliminated? And if contestant(s) win the episode how will they be rewarded?
First look just aired during the project. Promo was full HD. Looked good.
Coming soon add just aired during The Project. They really build it up “the best cooking show in the World.”
The promo is now up on tenplay’s MasterChef site.
I thought they’d close the promo with the spiffy new Ten HD logo.
Yeah, I’d hope so too I saw a David Attenborough ad with the Ten HD logo, but it ended with the standard/current logo. I don’t know why, but I have a feeling somethings might change in April.
Also to mention, the latest rounds of The People Vs O.J Simpson ads have used elements such as the glowing line seen in the pre-launch Ten HD ads.
Ordinary People. Extraordinary Food.
MasterChef Australia. New Season Coming Soon To TEN.
The iconic and beloved series MasterChef Australia is set to return to TEN for its eighth season.
With a fresh group of home cooks eager to tackle challenges that will see one of them take home the title of Australia’s next MasterChef, these are ordinary Australians who will do extraordinary things for the love of food.
As chefs, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris are relishing the chance to mentor these high-calibre cooks, pushing them to better their best dish each time they tie their apron strings.
Renowned food critic and fellow judge Matt Preston will motivate, educate and stimulate the contestants to harness their skill and creativity to continually raise the bar. Celebrated chef Shannon Bennett returns as a guest mentor, guiding the home cooks through testing times.
Season eight of MasterChef Australia (the winner of the 2015 AACTA for Best Reality Television Series) also boasts some of Australia’s and the world’s best chefs including domestic goddess Nigella Lawson, Heston Blumenthal, Marco Pierre White, Curtis Stone, Maggie Beer, Kylie Kwong and Luke Nguyen, to name just a few.
With all these ingredients, it is a recipe that will take our contestants closer to achieving their food dreams and changing the course of their lives, as they compete to be Australia’s next MasterChef.
What the? There’s numerous possibilities. There’s been weeks on the show before often when a guest chef visits that’s more stretched out with different challenges each night for people to save themselves or win advantages etc and only one person eliminated at the end of the week. It could easily be the case Heston week. Also even if it is a normal week format week they could have a service challenge on the Sunday or even Monday elimination (which ahs been done before), then there’s the Wednesday group challenge (which could be 2 of the restaurant filmings as there are usually 2 teams), and they could have an audience for a special Heston Masterclass at the end of the week.
If those 4 filming’s were just for 1 episode, then Heston would have to be committed to the show for about 3 weeks if they were going to do an entire Heston week.
The promo looks good, it’s the first time they’ve really highlighted the guest judges like this which is a lot of what separates Masterchef from other cooking shows. I also recognise a lot of the contestants in the promo from the challenge I participated in the other week.
Gary, George and Matt will compete against former MasterChef contestants in an upcoming episode of All Star Family Feud. Looking forward to it.
