MasterChef Australia

Maybe you should update your avatar photo with this, now that you have this celebrity status.

Hopefully these links work if anyone is interested… here is a video I took of the judges counting down to the stalls opening and the chaos of people running for food and also a picture of the teams cooking.

You’re lucky you were there,I’ll remember to watch that particular episode ,

Herald Sun reports Heston Blumenthal will open four pop-up restaurants in secret locations across Melbourne in early March, as part of the Heston week on the new season. Each restaurant will open for one service only. So it will be the luck of the draw to see if one of the pop-ups is near where you live or work.
EDIT: you can find more details on Tenplay
This could be part of a team challenge. Say there are eight contestants left by that time, then they will be divided into four teams of two, each team running a pop-up restaurant. The winning team will skip the elimination challenge.

For those who are interested, Ian “Lofty” Fulton is now the voiceover for MasterChef and the Great Australian Spelling Bee. He will appear on The Feed on SBS2 this Wednesday night (February 17).

###MasterChef Australia Presents Hidden Heston

Two of the most respected and best-loved names in food, Network Ten’s MasterChef Australia and Heston Blumenthal, are joining forces to create one of the most exclusive dining events in the world for 2016.

Under the banner Hidden Heston, MasterChef Australia and Blumenthal will open four pop-up restaurants as part of this year’s series of MasterChef Australia.

Heston Blumenthal said: “Melbourne has become like a second home since Dinner by Heston opened. Coming on MasterChef Australia over the years has always been amazing fun, but this time, out of the studio and into this great foodie city that I love, popping-up with MasterChef Australia, is even more exciting,”

Each pop-up restaurant will offer a completely different dining experience and will be located in a different, top-secret location in Melbourne.

Clues to the whereabouts of each pop-up are a closely-guarded secret and will be released just before each restaurant’s doors open to the public. The clues will only be available to fans who visit MasterChef Australia’s official social media accounts. To be in the running, fans must solve a clue and explain why they want to attend in 25 words or less.

Adding to the exclusivity of the event, each of the four Hidden Heston pop-ups will be open for one service only. Diners lucky enough to solve the clues and get seats will have an experience they will remember forever.

Tables at the Hidden Heston pop-ups are destined to be the hottest tickets in town.

Hidden Heston is coming to Melbourne in March.

Oh wow. Would appreciate if anyone notices these on social media to post on here in case I miss them. I had so much fun at the last challenge, but it would be a dream to attend a service challenge Heston style.

As I said last Monday’s challenge I counted around 7 contestants on one of the teams so there were prob around 13-15 left… I’m guessing a Heston challenge would work best with 3 teams of 4 so you have someone cooking entrée, main and desert at each place. That could mean it’s very early March then. Otherwise yeah it would have to be at 8 with 2 people each and that would have to be later March/early april.

The first clue to Heston’s pop-up restaurants will be posted on the show’s Facebook page on Sunday week (February 28).

UPDATE: Heston’s publicist has confirmed the pop-up restaurants will be part of the cooking challenge set up by Heston, with each site run by contestants. But the man himself won’t be cooking.

I thought I’d heard his voice before ,the current MC voiceover guy, from the mid to late 80s on Brisbane radio. as an announcer. He also does lots of other voiceovers for TV/radio ads etc

It’s definitely after Easter. I know scorpion is returning to Sundays 6.30 then modern family

As well as MasterChef & The Great Australia Spelling Bee, I believe that Ian “Lofty” Fulton is most notable for being the main voices of 2GB Sydney and Sky News Australia.

17-year-old American Flynn McGarry (dubbed “Justin Bieber of food” :open_mouth: ) is in Melbourne this week filming a pressure test for the current season: article
The week Flynn appears in will be filmed across two weeks due to the Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow (held at the Showgrounds from March 24-29). Gary and George are using the break to attend the Dubai Food Festival, where they along Shannon Bennett, Manu Feildel from MKR and Matt Moran will each design a course for the five-course Dine with the Stars at the Armani Hotel. When Gary and George return to Melbourne next week filming will resume with the team challenge then elimination. Then filming for Heston week and the pop-up restaurants begins.

Damn literally saw this 4 mins after 11 lol. Will be ready for the next one.

The first clue was revealed at around 7am AEDT yesterday, expect the next clue to be posted at similar time tomorrow.

Here is the second clue. For this one you have until 11am AEDT tomorrow (Wednesday) to register at this website to enter the draw.

Yeah I saw this and have entered. Hopefully I get a call back!

I got the clue correct and was offered a spot but its at 330pm in the afternoon in Brighton so I am unable to attend as at work. Disappointed as thought they would do it at night.

^ Can you enter again? If you win you may be given a different date and time.

Here is clue No.3:

Can’t you take some leave for it, or make up the time somehow?
