I thought it was a decent episode. The Contestants played along very well
Donât me wrong. But I think Ben, Andre or Declan might win the title. Iâm surprised Theo is still there. I was shocked that Sav got eliminated.

This one was also a shock elimination
MasterChef star Poh Ling Yeow âset to quit the showâ in âjudges shake-upâ
MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow is reportedly set to be replaced on the beloved Channel 10 show.
An insider has claimed that the fan-favourite judge could be set to walk away from the show at the end of the season thatâs currently airing.
Itâs believed that Channel 10 executives are hoping to get original contestant Julie Goodwin to step into Yeowâs role.
Last night was a branded challenge, in which 14 contestants were paired into a duel, each pair cooking with a chosen Lee Kum Kee condiment (so seven duels in total). The winner of each duel would enter into tonightâs ice cream challenge, for a chance to win immunity and safe from Sundayâs elimination.
I like Poh as judge on the show, so am sad if she does leave.
Julie Goodwin as a replacement? Yes, she is likeable, and dont mind her as a guest judge. But as a permanent judge? I dont know. She seems to always play it too safe for my liking.
There is no way that Poh is leaving MCAU. Sheâs perfect for the role.
There was no succulent Chinese meal
Another dessert challenge yet again
Another branded challenge tonight, sponsored by Connoisseur Ice Cream. Each of the seven contestants were given a different flavoured tub of ice cream. They had to use that flavour as an inspiration to create a dessert in two hours, that would be pressure test worthy. The two contestants who made the best dishes would not only be safe from Sundayâs elimination, but also would not have to take part in Wednesdayâs Dough Fest team challenge.
Applications for season 18 are now open.
Poh Ling Yeow breaks silence over reports sheâs âquitâ MasterChef
âThereâs no truth to the speculation. Poh is loving her time on MasterChef and feels like sheâs found her place.â said the spokesman.
I would miss her if she left. The current judges work well together as a team.
I mean the fact that itâs written by none other than No Idea probably says it all: FAKE NEWS
The self-regulatory watchdog for advertising, Ad Standards, has found an Australian Gas Networks (AGN) advertisement which ran on Tenâs MasterChef Australia breached environmental advertising standards and has been taken off air.
The ad said: âItâs not just the innovative dishes that come out of this kitchen that will surprise you, itâs also the gas. The MasterChef kitchen is cooking with renewable gas again, and at AGN weâre working towards a future where renewable gas could one day be used in your kitchen. With all the control you loveâ.
In its ruling, Ad Standards said the claim was âvague and does not make it clear that the plan to fully transition to renewable gas, sourced from hydrogen and biomethane, is not expected to be realised until 2050â.
Last year environmentalists accused the hit reality TV show of greenwashing after Ten announced sponsorship deals with AGN, a subsidiary of Australian Gas Infrastructure Group, which delivers gas to more than 2m homes and businesses.
Behind the paywall:
From the moment they met, when MasterChef Australia: Back To Win began filming last November in Melbourne, returning contestants Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary knew they were kindred spirits.
Yet it wasnât until restaurateur Todd was facing elimination that Cleary suddenly realised he felt more than mere friendship.
âI was [panicking]: âOh sh*t. Iâve been spending all this time with this bloody amazing chick and now she might be leaving!ââ he says.
âAnd so, as sheâs walking into the elimination [challenge], I said, âSarah, can I ask you something? Would you like to go on a date with me?â And she just looked at me and said, âYouâre a bloody idiot!ââ
Stunned by Clearyâs poorly timed invitation, Todd took a long while to digest the offer.
âAfter I got through the stress of the elimination and had a couple of days to recover, I realised it made sense,â she says.
