A Sizzling Start For Australia’s Favourite Kitchen.

Jamie Oliver Is The First Bombshell Of MasterChef Australia: Secrets & Surprises.

Australia’s most popular cooking competition is back with a bang on May 1, and already MasterChef Australia: Secrets & Surprises is serving up the twists and turns.

Order up! International megastar and super chef, Jamie Oliver, has been revealed as the first special guest judge of Season 15.

“I’m very, very excited to be back in the MasterChef Australia kitchen, and honoured to be kicking off the new season of Secrets & Surprises alongside Jock, Andy and Mel.

I want to give the contestants some little nuggets of advice, some techniques and some thoughts most importantly, that might help them to navigate some of the big moments ahead,” said Jamie.

Jamie will turn up the heat with a series of adrenaline-pumping challenges across two episodes, marking his first return to the MasterChef Australia kitchen in over a decade.

The beloved UK star kicks off an illustrious line up of guest judges throughout the season, including Curtis Stone, Maggie Beer, Rick Stein and Peter Gilmore.

From colossal lamington towers to exploding confetti mystery boxes, the element of surprise will be this season’s secret ingredient.

How could Jamie Oliver have flown into Australia and no one noticed him?

Maybe he’s replacing Ramsay this year.

Because it was a Secret and Surprise. Shhh!

I’m guessing someone noticed him. I’m not sure what you wanted people to do with that information though.

The promo’s for this season are great. It seems like a bit of a ramped up season - straight to the point, less contestants, less filler and more random/fun tasks. Should be good.

Because if Jamie was here last year, then the paparazzi would have been all over it.

Would they really be all over him? Celebrities coming to Australia is a common occurrence, not a once in a lifetime occasion.

I can’t remember when they last had Jamie Oliver as a guest on the show

Season 4.

all in greens/khaki…

I doubt the paparazzi are following Jamie Oliver or care much about what he is up to these days. If it was Harry Styles then that’s a different story.

Larissa Plates Up A Melting Pot Of Cultures.

Meet One Of The Top 18 Contestants On MasterChef Australia: Secrets & Surprises.

Inspired by her Ukrainian and Russian heritage, Larissa’s biggest influence has been her babushka, whose sharing of traditions has shaped the cook she is today.

Having fled their homeland during the Russian Revolution, three of Larissa’s grandparents resettled in the Xinjiang region of China. This fusion of cultures meant that Larissa was raised on a unique melting pot of flavours. Time spent living and working in the USA and South Korea further broadened her palate and diverse cooking style, while inspiring her dreams to one day open a small cooking school and write about food and culture.

Describing her cooking as generous and abundant, Larissa currently lives an urban-farm lifestyle in Adelaide with her husband, twin boys and her much-loved heritage chickens.
