MasterChef Australia

They seem to love targetting Melissa for some reason. Probably jealous that she is becoming more popular than these magazines will ever become.

It will be interesting to see how the border closures will impact the production of Junior MasterChef. For example, kids from NSW and their parents won’t be able to travel to Melbourne to take part, while SA and QLD contestants will be required to self-isolate for 14 days when they return home after the show.

Wasn’t Poh’s best cook this episode. Was sorry to see her go

It depends how soon they planned on filming. If it’s not for a couple of months the borders may very well be open again. Or they could just film it in Sydney somewhere. It might be a good point of difference to have it in a different spot to the usual Masterchef kitchen.

What happened to the original Masterchef Kitchen in Sydney?

It was sold in late 2012. Last time I read it’s now the head office of Havaianas Australia.

Reynold must be warm favourite to take out the title after he won last night’s immunity challenge (last one for the season) with a stunning dessert, inspired by The Snitch from Harry Potter. All three judges were wowed by the dish, with Melissa saying it would go down as one of the best dishes created in the MC kitchen.
Finals week begins this Sunday with a four-course elimination challenge.

Emelia is the huge favourite to win in the betting odds, so somebody from production must have leaked that she is in the top 2 and is very likely to win due to having more versatility amongst the contestants left.

Masterchef finale confirmed for the 20th. It’s also a final 2 this year.

You know it’s a special occasion when Jock brought out his kilt.
It’s on a smaller scale then the finales of the first 10 seasons when the challenge went for three rounds over two days (mystery box and invention test on day 1, pressure test and winner announcement on day 2).

Great article in News Corp papers today about the soundtrack music of the show.

The change to the GF format happened last year.

In regards to scale, the GF being 90 minutes is shorter compared to past seasons where it went for 2, even 2 & 1/2 hours

COVID-19 put paid to the hopes of a large scale finale. It also meant the reunion and the cooking challenge had to be merged into one, with eliminated contestants the dining guests.

First time this season Andy has worn a suit

According to Herald Sun, Endemol Shine said a submission to 3AW Rumour File, that filming on the grand final was halted for an hour because one of the contestants fell behind due to a failed dish, was “categorically not true”.

Haven’t watched this in a few weeks, but what’s happened to the contestants? They’re all so downbeat, awkward and about to cry. Especially Reece. Feels like there has just been a big fight or something.

Wasn’t this show filmed during the lockdown period? Where they weren’t allowed to leave hotel rooms or even travel to see family?

From tonight’s episode? I didn’t see it. He was excited to get Veges. He made veges. He was excited to serve his veges. Unfortunately they haven’t gone down too well with the judges.
