Season 11 premieres tonight on W channel in UK and will be shown at 7pm weeknights. A lot of British fans were in shock when news came through two weeks ago that Gary, George and Matt would leave the show.
Are they more in shock than the Aussies?
I think they are more in shock, as they didnāt know much about Georgeās underpayment scandal. They now have the next three months to savour the last appearance of the three judges.
Shannon Bennett, who was guest chef on the grand final last month, said he wouldnāt be involved in MasterChef again, focusing on his Burnham Beeches hotel development and raising his six children with Madeleine West.

Season 11 premieres in New Zealand on TVNZ1 next Wednesday (August 14) at 7.30pm.
That rules Shannon Bennett out then I wonder who the replacements are.
I wonder it is Matt Moran who was a guest mentor/judge on some of the earlier seasons of masterchef australia who hosted/judged family food fight on nine
I hope not. I donāt think Matt Moran has a very warm/friendly persona on screen.
Shannon Bennet would have been great. A shame if heās not going to be involved in future.
I always felt that Shannon Bennett was a bit dull and doesnāt really have a big enough personality for the role. He was fine for the occasional appearance but I donāt know if Iād think much of him as a permanent judge. IMO with the change in judges the show needs to make a big overhaul so they should get 3 completely new judges, not people like Shannon or Matt Moran who have been mentors or additional judges in the past.
Larissa and Tessa were at Vue de Monde in Melbourne yesterday, joining Caulfield Cup menu tasting. Larissa told the Herald Sun she would be doing some work with Darren Purchese while in Melbourne.
Gary said in his old stomping ground ,he said Iām here for WW and his latest cookbook is healthy food with his weight loss journey.
He probably missed Channel Ten Sydney.
Herald Sun reports tonight that Curtis Stone and 2012 winner Andy Allen are front runners to become the new judges on the show. It says that several cookoffs will be held in California to help Stone (the show visited the state in 2016 during season 8). The report also says the producers are still looking for a female judge, but sources say the names do not include Poh Ling Yeow, Sarah Todd or Julie Goodwin.

Curtis Stone is a great chef, high profile, friendly, women like him and been part of the show through Coles for a decadeā¦
But he is a bit over-exposed and not really that āfreshā? Also find it hard to see how heāll juggle all his businesses/commitments including international.
Donāt think the show being split between Melbourne & California can work long-term (assuming this report is right)
In an interview with Mediaweek to promote his own podcast show (which is now in its third season), Gary has revealed another reason he, George and Matt quit MasterChef.
The three of us made a promise than when MasterChef started to feel like a job, it deserved to go to someone else who would approach it as we used to. For me, last year and this year, it started to feel a little like a chore halfway through the season because there was so much else I wanted to do in the food space.
How did Fiona Byrne manage this exclusive!! Iām drawn to the comments that the this puff piece by News Corp may suggest an upcoming show on Foxtel.
maybe great australian bake off ??? which is returning this year, even tho foxtel told me it wouldnt lol
Judging by the article itself, Iāll lock in āselling her soulā
