The most hotly anticipated event in boxing starring the two biggest figures from the world of boxing and MMA, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor was the second highest pay per view event of all time for Foxtel on Main Event.
The fight which took place yesterday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in front of a sold out crowd was the highest grossing and most talked-about fight of all time.In Australia, the Mayweather McGregor event has become second only to the Mundine Green Pay Per View Fight, held back in 2006.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. cemented his place as the greatest pound-for-pound boxer in history straight victory, as he came out of retirement to take on UFC’s most recognised talent and reigning UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor and won by technical knockout, securing his place in boxing history to head into retirement boasting an incredible record of 50th straight victory.
