Love Island Australia

The show has never been about finding love, its primary purpose is entertainment. There are very few couples that last long post show.

This season has been so shit.

Really?

I think it’s been the best yet. So much drama. It’s been really enjoyable.

I would have to agree. So many dislikeable people this year, that litle Zac, Trent, Lucinda and Savannah group has really ruined this season. Especially the Zac + Trent pairing.

Also I am sick of this pre-recorded crap and the ‘super fans’ being the only ones able to vote. You can also tell that the budget is mich smaller for Love Island Australia. Love Island UK is so much better.

American version always have bigger budget than British or Australian version

According to the 9Now newsletter, Love Island Games drops on 9Now tonight!

Here are the two trailers for Love Island Games.

Wtf!

Very very confused with tonight’s episode.

Sophie announced that there were no more islanders coming in and we are reaching the end.

After a recoupling, two islanders were left single but they only had to dump one. What’s the point of keeping one? The others are in couples why keep a single? It makes no sense.

Just get rid of both of them. Very weird. Unless they hope there’s some couple swapping coming then they’ll dump another single? (Just for more drama)

Odd move.

Sorry only just saw this now. Yes there’s plenty of drama, but far out the contestants are so bloody unlikeable this season, Nakia should be gone, Zac is a tool, Lucinda is there for contractual reasons etc. Thank god they brought Kale back in because him and his bird are carrying the show at the moment.

I guess by keeping a single they are hoping that person tries to pursue someone another couple, knowing they will go next if they don’t. It seems keeping Nakia causes a fair bit of drama tomorrow.

Season final is on Monday 18 December

I’VE GOT A TEXT WITH JOSH AND FLEX! will conclude on Thursday (Friday morning) 21 December 12;12 am

Brisbane will be getting the finale at 7:30pm with Sydney and Melbourne who will be airing it at 8:30pm as usual.

Is it because of daylight savings? Is the finale pre-recorded or live to eastern states?

The whole show was filmed back in September, they filmed 3 different endings again.

TYRA AND KALE CROWNED WINNERS OF LOVE ISLAND AUSTRALIA 2023

A wild ride comes to an end after seven weeks of different eras, dramas, tears, challenges and surprises with Tyra and Kale crowned the winners of Love Island Australia 2023.

It is no surprise viewers stayed loyal to Tyra and Kale. Making his return to the Villa for Tyra after being dumped, their fairytale story had the audience melting and they were voted the favourite couple of the series over the other finalists, Lucinda and Zac and Savanah and Clint.

Host Sophie Monk said: “This has been one of the best seasons of Love Island Australia yet. I’ve laughed out loud and actually cried. It’s so entertainingly beautiful, there’s heartfelt moments, and it’s so relatable. I feel like I’m learning life lessons from this season, and I’ve seen A LOT in my lifetime.”

Tyra, 23, from the Sunshine Coast, said: “Kale is everything I could ever ask for in a partner and more. The most kind and considerate man I’ve ever met. We’ve got so many plans, kicking it all off with a trip over to Perth to meet Kale’s family. I am stoked.”

Kale, 25, originally from Perth, living on the Gold Coast, said: “I couldn’t be more excited for what’s next for me and the future with Tyra. We have so many exciting things coming up already. It’s amazing how bubbly and uplifting her presence is, she can light up a room with one smile.”

In previous years the winning couple were handed an envelope each, one containing $50,000 and the other nothing, determining who was in it for love or money if they decided to split the cash with their partner or not.

This year there was a change, earlier in the season the top four couples were made a life-changing offer as individuals, testing who was in it for love or money if they took $20,000 from Sophie and left the luxury Villa in Spain immediately. They all turned down the cash and chose love, and additionally for Tyra and Kale, they are riding off into the sunset with an equal share of the winning cash prize of $50,000.

After premiering on October 30, the four night-a-week series – with exclusive access on 9Now – continues to stream as a top program on catch-up against all broadcasters. Season to date, Love Island Australia 2023 has recorded an average VOD BVOD audience of 314,000, and 518M VOD minutes.

Love Island Australia is produced by ITV Studios Australia for the 9Network.

Given the final three couples, the public got to vote for, I think Nine could have save itself some money and only filmed one ending, it was so obvious who it would be.

I really don’t like it when someone is evicted/ dumped/ eliminated and then returns and wins. It doesn’t feel right to me. Like you were dumped. I think Zac and Lucinda were robbed to honest.

Very happy with the winners. But they really need to go back to filming the show live and having the public vote instead of the so called ‘super fans’.

I hate this obsession that all Australian networks have with pre-recording everything. There is barely any live TV anymore apart from sport.

Pretty much everybody dislikes Zac and Lucinda, they were never winning. I am glad a toxic person like Zac wasn’t rewarded for his behaviour throughout the season.

If the public were voting, he would have never made the final and Nate + Georgia would have been there instead.

Well he was dumped in the most unfair way. Andy came into the villa and had to pick someone pretty much immediately, which forced Kale out. Literally he or Nakia had no say about it - sure Nakia took interest in Andy but no matter who Andy picked their partner was going to be eliminated which wasn’t really fair. He could have sent someone from a strong couple home without giving them any chance to try and sae themself. So I don’t mind that he got a chance to come back.

Yeah but they deserved to be there at the end. They were the only real couple that stuck it out together from very early on.

These Love Island finales are pretty painful to watch by the way. I hate the way they try and do this big finale with all the contestants and crew cheering etc. It just comes across very cheesy. I’d rather more of a normal episode with Sophie coming in at the end, it would just suit the vibe of the show better. I also found the winners announcement felt very staged. Zac acting so happy that Kale/Tyra won was really over the top poor acting.
