Does anyone know how much longer this season goes for? I thought we’d be coming into the final week (won’t this week be week 6?) but they are still sending new people into the house so I guess not ending yet?

I actually found this previous week more entertaining than the Casa Amor week. I loved how Lexy constantly gave it back to Ryan and Dean. Also that Jess and Aaron drama was bizarre. It’s literally like Jess imagined something and has made an issue of it. Aaron held himself well. Good on him for standing up and be willing to leave. Nobody should have to put up with that amount of pettyness.

Love Island USA Season 3 will premiere on Nine next Wednesday night at 10:30pm.

Love is back this summer as host Arielle Vandenberg welcomes the Islanders to their new Hawaiian Villa.

Why does Sophie Monk have to talk like a bogan? That’s not how she usually speaks.

Predictable winners in the end. I think the show will be back next year purely due to its streaming power, all of last weeks episodes + Mondays episode are the top 4 streamed shows this week.

I don’t know why they couldn’t have at least had a live finale. It was so obvious they filmed 3 different endings and then played the correct one. Pretty much every Australian reality TV show feels so cheap compared to their international counterparts.

Sophie has always spoken like a bogan.

I thought I read a week ago that they’d filmed everything except the finale but clearly it was filmed on their last day on the villa. The winner announcement felt more real than most pre-recorded winner endings to me. At least it wasn’t just announced and cut to the end.

I was hoping that Chris and Zoe would win but Tina came across as the most genuine person there so it’s not a surprise that they won.

Overall I enjoyed the season but it dragged a little in the last couple of weeks. Hopefully next season it can be a little closer to filming to have more viewer interaction.

The show has been filmed very close (or near live) this season. I feel like a lot of what’s happening on screen only happened a few days earlier.

No. They wrapped up filming about 2.5 weeks ago. Previous seasons were only a couple days gap. They had to film the entire season within 30 days due to restrictions/council mandates. So it started close with filming to airing but the longer the season went on the gap widened.

Mitch & Tina win Love Island Australia 2021

After a rollercoaster six weeks with incredible moments of love, laughter, and a river of tears, Mitch & Tina have been announced as the winners of Love Island Australia 2021.

Voted by the Australian public as their favourite couple, host Sophie Monk revealed the pair won the nation’s hearts over fellow grand finalists Chris & Zoe and Jess & Aaron.

But in the world of Love Island , the path to love is never easy. Once our new Love Island king and queen were crowned, they were each given an envelope – one containing $50,000 and nothing in the other. Tina’s envelope had $50,000 meaning she had the choice to either split the money or take it for herself, thereby proving if she was in it for money and not love. She chose love.

“I did not expect to meet someone so special or to make it through to the finale – and with a boyfriend! But our connection was instant and I’m grateful for the journey we’ve share. I can’t wait for our future together and I’m very very thankful to the Australian public for believing in us.”

Mitch, 25, from Melbourne, says: “I’d never thought walking into the villa that I’d find someone like Tina. I’ve come out of this amazing experience with my first girlfriend and have grown into a better version of myself. We’ve laughed, cried, and made great memories along the way – to win the show on top of that is huge!

Host Sophie Monk said “There have been so many beautiful and hilarious moments this season including heartfelt tears, many three-way hugs between the boys, and some of the best bombshells we’ve ever seen. All of our Islanders have done a fantastic job and I’ve honestly had the best time watching on.”

The couple’s path to love hasn’t been the smoothest with a love triangle turning Mitch’s head early in their journey together. However, Mitch came to his senses choosing Tina and they coupled up once again. The temptations of the Casa Amor shake-up only solidified their bond to stick together and shortly after Mitch asked Tina to be his first girlfriend.

Premiering on October 11 on Channel 9 and 9Now and filmed in a luxury villa in Byron Bay, the four night-a-week series has once again been the show that breaks the mould for TV viewing, with episode one now up to 862,000 viewers across linear TV, live stream or On Demand on 9Now – a 108% uplift on overnight.

She’s from Queensland and that’s quite a standard way of speaking. We have a workmate from the Gold Coast who joins us on phone conferences and he sounds just like that. If you didn’t know him, you’d think he was putting on an exaggerated Aussie accent.

Multiple endings recorded:

Rumours about the couple started after the finale, alleging Jess and Aaron broke up after she chose to steal the $50,000 prize money in a pre-recorded Love or Money twist. However a source close to production has confirmed this is not true.

In the pre-record — which would have only aired if the public had voted for Aaron and Jess to win — Aaron received the envelope with $50,000 and chose to split it.

Apparently Mitch Hibberd has tested positive to covid. 3 other contestants who were staying with him in Melbourne are also isolating with him in his apartment.
