Would love to hear some other opinions regarding how you guys think KIIS is sounding in Melbourne.
I used to listen to Fox for most shows other than breakfast, but now Iāve found myself listening to KIIS all the time.
As Iāve previously expressed, I have always listened to Jase and PJ and personally believe theyāre the best breakfast team in Melbourne.
For the drive home Iād typically listen to Hughesy and Kate but the new duo with Ed just doesnāt seem to work personally, and Iāve now found myself listening to Will and Woody (while I donāt think theyāre as good as Hughesy and Kate were, they are still enjoyable to listen to).
On weekends/throughout the day, again, I would listen to Fox, but the ā10 in a rowā KIIS has been doing every hour is fantastic with a good mix of new and older tunes, plus no ads either (probably the main draw card which got me listening).
Will be interesting to see the first ratings snapshot of the year in a few days and whether they have made any inroads on Fox (it was getting competitive for breakfast in the final ratings of last year but they were still far behind during the workday).

Is Fox doing 10 in a row on weekends? Nova969 was doing that recently.

I think I actually recall Nova 100 doing a 10 in a row as well.

I know you asked about Melbourneā¦butā¦
I had KIIS in Sydney on all day yesterday. Itās nice to hear a CHR station that is full of energy. I had the feeling that they were pumping out the Top 40 music with a sense of urgency and focus. KIIS added a bit of fun to my weekend.

Same here, Iāve recently been switching over and listening to KIIS 1011 more. Previously listened to FOX FM all the time.

Yes it did sound live. I donāt normally listen to KIIS on a Saturday. I heard one song I liked and hung around all day.

The playlist is better than Nova these days, who think Throwbacks means play the same 50 mouldy oldies 50 times a week.

Not without Phonebox - a lot of shows doing remotes would still have panel ops back in studio, but ARN Melbourne is out of action today as discussed in the Pure Gold thread
