My mistake, I also assumed it was a 60 minute tv special on a yet to be announced network - not that it was a 60 Mins current affairs piece.
Lol all good. I thought it was obvious when I said Karl was with Kyle lol.
Yeah I just assumed (again) that he happened to mention it during a chat that involved Karl, not that he was doing the interview. Thanks for clearing that up
Have Spotted ads on bus stop shelters for Robin, Terry and Bob saying âRobinâs Home againâ
Jase and PJ had been forced to abandon their 12-hour tennis match this afternoon due to Melbourneâs extreme heat. They broadcast live from a floating tennis court on the Yarra in the morning and they started playing tennis after the broadcast ended.
they will be reattempting this record on Monday
Lowie Live on KIIS is no more. Instead another hour of non stop hits from 5-6pm on Saturdays followed by kiis weekender now at the new time of 6pm.
Lowie gone?
Thatâs a shame. I liked his show.
Not even on the kiis website as well.
Jase and PJ successfully completed their 12-hour tennis marathon tonight, with PJ declared the winner. The court was anchored on the Southbank side of Yarra River, close to the Southgate complex.
According to todayâs Sunday Herald Sun, Jase and PJ have extended their contract with ARN, meaning the duo will stay at KIIS until the end of 2022.
Certainly not complaining about that! Theyâre my favourite breakfast duo in Melbourne.
This isnât a ânewâ story - the duoâs contract renewal was confirmed in June last year and reconfirmed in October when Radio Today inquired about it
I always read the Radio Today story as saying they were only locked in until the end of 2020 - and the rest of the article was about other breakfast shows⊠this new report seems to suggest another two years has been added now to Jase and pj
I havenât anything more bizarre than this in a long time. Itâs completely baffling why ARN are making out an 8 month old story as being a ânewâ announcement
Free publicity.
Because, as already mentioned, neither of those articles confirm this renewal?
The Age piece from June last year simply outlines that they were on a three-year deal, thus not expiring until sometime in 2020. The Radio Today piece doesnât mention Jase & PJ at all.
Why is this news? I suspect it has something to do with an announcement teased on the podcast last week that was supposed to be announced today. At a guess, PJ is heading back to New Zealand and doing the show remotely for a time. Better to get the good news out and dilute the negative press.
