If it was looking likely that Jackie O would need to be paid out, I assume that ARN should just make her do the breakfast show. The issues that meant the boycott were almost all Kyle.
That then opens up the likelihood of a few years down the track being able to renegotiate that away when inevitably Jackie wants to move on from breakfast radio.
Yeah I think this deal with Kyle will actually make it trickier for ARN to defend their case with Jackie, IF she turns around and says now the problem (Kyle) is gone, she can fulfil her contract. Although on the flipside I understand her contact was specifically for services to work with Kyle. Anyway she might have a bit more bargaining power for a payout than he had.

Kyle has to much money and time, he’s looking bad at the moment probably best not to be associated at at all. The rambling vacant eyes say it all. Kyle needs rehab.
I think he needs to retire radio once and for all. He has done his job over 20+ years. He needs to take care of his health and his family. He doesn’t need to have all attention. Just look at Jackie. She’s enjoying life after leaving breakfast radio and focusing on her family career

To mark the end of that legal battle, Sandilands sat down for an hour-long podcast, released on Friday morning, in which he accused top-rating talkback radio host Ben Fordham of being a fair-weather friend. Sandilands claimed that Fordham had let him down by publicly casting doubt on the value of his show and the durability of his partnership with Jackie “O” Henderson after he was taken off air.
He said that Fordham had then texted him and asked to invite him onto his show on 2GB, which was formerly owned by Nine, along with this masthead. “I said, ‘No, you’ve been a c— about it. F— you’,” Sandilands told the Game Changers podcast. “And [Fordham] writes, ‘Oh, don’t be a sook.’ And I was like, ‘You want a slap? Like, watch your mouth.’ Like, I don’t put up with his bullshit. And some people will … I’ll slap … I’ll slap him. I don’t give a shit if he’s mouthy, like he just deserves a slap.”
On Friday morning, Fordham denied Sandilands had threatened to slap him, and accused the shock jock of harbouring “aggressive fantasies”. “I finished the message by saying ‘toughen the f— up’, and he didn’t write back. Sorry to spoil your fantasy, Kyle.”
