You don’t know what health issues that he may have that stops him doing his job. Having a go every time he’s off isn’t helpful. He’s clearly got some long term health issues that need addressing.

Again, up to a point. Sick leave however is not unlimited under any award or salary package.

If his health problems are that serious, he should retire with his millions and focus on his health. Rather than use them as publicity for his show, which he has done in the past.
Why are you so upset about how much time he has off? You’ve made it clear you hate him with a passion and don’t listen to the show so it’s not like it’s affecting your life when he’s away. You spend way too much time and energy in this thread for a station you don’t even listen to.

Interesting that KIIS still have Zach and Dom on the homepages of their websites. Usually they remove all trace of shows immediately when they can them. Or is it just sloppy from ARN?

Surely, this is plenty of reach for K&J? Do they not realise they’re already heard nationally with their nightly Hour of Power show?
Here’s a good compromise, make the Hour of Power into 2hrs of Power. Then forget touching any breakfast spots outside of Sydney. Sadly, Kyle won’t stop until his live show is national.
If ARN had any brains they would have put them on DAB in the other state capitals first to see how they went. As you say, that combined with iHeart and the Hour of Power show should have given them enough indication of how the show was going to be received before touching the other FM’s outside Sydney.
The overall problem though is they are trying to build a national FM network based on a personality or “talent”, and ignoring the format requirements for each market. 97.3 and 102.3 need to be mainstream AC stations, not CHR, and 96fm needs to be a Gold format. Breakfast “talent” cannot trump what music format is needed in each market.
Another idea could be to “chuck a Nova/Triple M” and have them on-air from 2-3pm weekdays nationally, to better test the other markets as well.
97.3 needs to be a 4KQ/Gold format arguably
Yes a Gold format would work on 97.3 and 102.3, even if it skewed a little younger than Sydney and Melbourne.
This is their big problem at ARN Senior Management level … they don’t have any. I don’t blame their staff or the on air talent for the dire sh1tfest that ARN is in, including k&j. K&J took full advantage of a weak, compliant, pandering ARN management to gouge out the greatest contract screw of all time. Good luck to them while it lasts. But it will sink the company ultimately. ARN shares on asx today at a record low $0.47. 9 years ago $4.00. What wonderful skilled management ARN has. No brains indeed.
