Itâs like theyâre so desperate now to get into the Brisbane market. If Robin & Kip does get replaced by Kyle and Jackie O, then this will be a sad time for Brisbane.

Craig Bruce sums this up perfectly in his podcast. K&J need to stop doing a networked show, but instead deliver a national show. One which appeals to all markets - not just a re-broadcast of their Sydney show.
Itâs like broadcasting 9 News Sydney around the country. It just wonât work that way. The content needs to be tweaked.

Thatâs all well and good to say but what exactly is Sydney about the show anyway? Itâs not like they discuss local events/ sports teams/ functions etc.
For all intents and purposes it is a national show already.
The thing is though Sydney is used to the smut and sex talk. Theyâve been desensitized to it over the years. You canât just plonk that crap into other markets that just donât have that type of radio. If they think the reaction in Melbourne had been negative, wait till they start talking about pissing and womenâs genitalia on air in Brisbane at breakfast.

Sure, this is seperate to smut and overall tone (which is an issue in of itself) but at least try to bring those outside Sydney along.

Letâs not forget honouring the NSW public holidays, with VIC suffering by having no live show on that day.
And regardless of any sport talk, they have a former NRL star on the station, but no AFL star/expert/connection.

Considering theyâre still on air on radio at 9:30am are we expecting the KIIS 973 announcement?
Nothing else was really mentioned on-air from Gordie apart from theyâll be on-air at 9:30am, but if their intention of this is announcing their expansion into Brisbane, then Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunny Coast residents are in for a rude shock.
And itâll spell the end of KIIS 97.3 being No.1 in Brisbane as listeners turn offâŠ

B105 most of the time with Nova sneaking in there 1 or 2 times a year in recent history. Even Triple M has been up there too.
Hasnât been KIIS/ 973 in a very long time.
