In fairness some of the DAB channels nowadays do a good job with music and hourly news (the SCA channels in particular). And Gordie days a great job announcing on KIIS during the workday.
Smooth also has a good line up of announcers.
When you look at it, Australian radio is in a much better place than our NZ and US counterparts. The UK on the other hand has zero localism but has some of the best music anywhere in the world on DAB (KIISTORY, Magic Soul, Heart 70s, 80s, Dance, Capital Xtra Reloaded, Mi-Soul).

Canāt agree with you about Gordie. His announcing is sub standard and cringeworthy. Always sounds like he is busting to go to the toilet.

He said that he is disappointed in his favourite news outlets for painting a bleck picture as they are aware it was only 3 out of 10 weeks that they were surveyed for.

Both Duncan Campbell and Kyle have put a lot of pressure on this next survey for the show in Melbourne.
Bold approach and itās not gonna be a good look if the show doesnāt pick up more, as Iām sure the media canāt wait to discuss it.

IMO the Melbourne expansion might even negatively impact Sydney ratings longer term.

During a chat with Pip Edwards on the launch of new Sonos Ace headphones this morning, Jackie told Kyle and Pip that she would broadcast from London for one week from June 17 (the week before the next radio survey break) as she is travelling there and around Europe for two weeks, including going to one of her friendās wedding.

Why would he be sacked? Heās the boss by the way.
Wouldnāt be the first time a producer was sacked because the presenter didnāt like being embarrassed on air.

Did you watch the attached video? Kyle wasnāt embarrassed at all. He ended the chat by reaffirming that John was still one of his favourite people despite him not liking Kyle.
