The logo is becoming dated rather quickly. Had someone mentioned previously, they will need to make changes once K&J move on. I’d imagine a rebrand for sure.

Peter Ford reporting that Kyle & Jackie O start date into Melbourne has been pushed back further and won’t be on air until late April/early May due to the move to ARN’s new studios in Sydney.
About a month ago it’s was mentioned by Kyle that they’ll be on air in 6-7 weeks and that was about 4-5 weeks ago.

What does this move have to do with anything? So many shows across many stations around the country are networked day in day out. I don’t understand this reasoning.

On Tuesday during their daily show, Kyle Sandilands confirmed the news, saying: “Southern Cross Austereo has a disgraceful 5.9% pay gap. At Nova and Smooth FM it is even worse, 6%. But, unfortunately, the number one spot is at KIIS FM – at the top of the tree with a 12% pay gap disparity.”

Did you read the article? A) it sounds like an almost joke level stunt rather than a serious strike, and B) the problem it relates to is about the pay of the junior staffers which Jackie doesn’t control and is unrelated to how much she earns. If anything, it would be worse if she made so much and then said it didn’t matter how much the juniors were paid.

How are these dates supposed to align with Georgia Love’s 3-month contract reading Melbourne breakfast news? It would be a bit disjointed if they had news inserts with her during Kyle and Jackie O.

They’ll need someone to read news for Melbourne. You really think they’ll just have a Sydney/national bulletin? Local news is most important in the morning when people are on their way to work and finding out the day’s headlines. Both Sydney and Melbourne have too many stories of high local interest but of no concern to the other city to ignore this.

Yes but given Brooklyn Ross is also really a part of the show, not just the ‘newsreader’, I wonder whether they’d integrate him into reading Melbourne news stories as well to make it more seamless.
