Bought my first ever AFL club membership (aside from the $10 foundation one for the Devils) at Christmas just for the Kayo one. Glad I did that because that is an insane price hike.
Go Cats! Great to see my membership is already paying off!

Noticed that the Kayo app on my Samsung TV has recently been updated to incorporate DAZNâs typeface throughout the interface.
New owner DAZN doesnât reveal its number of subscribers. It is estimated around 1.5m Australians have Kayo Sports subscriptions. If two-thirds of those people took the Premium package, it would generate an extra $72m annually for DAZN.
Thatâs an amount that will help pay for sports rights, but it wonât make a huge dent in the fees. DAZN needs to come up with around $400m annually just for its AFL rights. It is also in negotiations with the Australian Rugby League Commission to renew its NRL contract, which sucks up around as much as $180m every year.
Foxtel didnât flag the Kayo increase in a press release. However, the company did release a statement explaining the rise, after media started to report subscriber kickbacks against the change.
âThese changes reflect the cost of sports rights in Australia and internationally, our continued investment in production and commentary, and cutting-edge technology,â said a Foxtel spokesperson.
Kayo Sports has launched a new show called Rexona Rivals, a sporting challenge show featuring some of the best rugby league players in the world going head-to-head with their counterparts from Aussie Rules and rugby union.
The eight-part series is hosted by Lara Pitt and Jack Riewoldt and was filmed at Hamilton Island.
Edit: Rexona Rivals premieres on Sunday March 1, following the NRL season opener in Las Vegas.
And this is worth the increase to our Kayo? ![]()
Someone at Rexona has dug into the archives to re create Rexonaâs Australiaâs Greatest Athlete which aired early 2010s. I remember Billy Slater dominating that one.
The qualifying and support races on Saturday, and the race on Sunday, will also be shown live on Fox Sports 506.
As mentioned in Seven Motorsport Coverage thread, this is the first time in the eventâs history that there will be no FTA coverage.
For something like a 12 hour or even a 24 hour race, a dedicated ad-free channel would work well in this instance.
Rexona takes on Aussie sport with first major brand-owned series
Rexona is betting big on branded entertainment with the launch of an eightâpart sports series that pits Australiaâs biggest football codes against each other.
Debuting 1 March on Kayo and Fox Sports, Rivals is a Survivor-style competition featuring stars of rugby league, Aussie Rules and rugby union. The series is filmed on Hamilton Island and fully owned by Unilever.
According to Unileverâs outgoing Australian chief marketing officer John McKeon, Rivals represents the companyâs first major global investment in brand-owned entertainment.
Speaking to Mumbrella about the decision to invest significantly in its own branded entertainment property rather than continue with traditional sports sponsorships, McKeon pointed to Rexonaâs two decades of partnerships with athletes such as Ricky Ponting, Mark Webber and Sam Kerr.
Developed over two years with WPP Motion Entertainment and the now Omnicom-owned sports marketing agency Octagon, Rivals follows in the footsteps of other Foxtel Media-branded entertainment efforts, such as the Amcal-backed series Gen Well and a content partnership with platform Luxury Escapes.
McKeon, a union man himself, said he is hopeful that Rivals will be successful enough to return for future seasons.

Definetly not. I rather watch Dorothy the dinosaur get drunk with that amount of cash
Kayo has changed its website format. There is now a tvguide too! Also the backend has change - the MPD streams URLâs have changed to DAZN backend it appears. There is no reference to âFoxtelâ in the mpdâs at all now.
Also the auth login appears to have changed backend function as it mentions Kayo is part of the âFoxtel GroupââŚ
Things are a changing!
TVos, Android TV and iOS apps also updated to the new UI/UX today.
PS5 app I noticed had the update on 7/3/26, so mustâve used the preload tech consoles can do
This just looks fresher than before and easier
edit: it just crashed on my apple tv when trying split view
DAZN typeface and UI are here. And considering theyâve never had to develop an UI for EPG before (not this size anyway), they sure did a good job with that.
Classy.
Is the /en-AU/ new in Kayo & Bingeâs web URLs?
Expansion coming soon perhaps?
Itâs in line with DAZNâs normal practices. Like if you access DAZN from the UK, it would be /en-GB/.
