Kayo Sports

The catch is that you must have had a Telstra AFL or NRL Live Pass prior to December 22 last year.

I’m in!

So the hope is people just drop off over time? Like is there a cut off that it’s only for a year or something?

You’d think there’s a lot of people currently paying Kayo $25, or even the $15 discounted Telstra Kayo sub, that would be eligible here and drop down, so it’s almost too good.

Im not with Telstra, but what was the cost for either the AFL or NRL Live app previously? Because I thought it was free for Telstra customers.

I think it’s $99.99 for the entire season of AFL or NRL.

As part of the new broadcast rights deal announced today between Netball Australia and Foxtel, quite a fair bit of content will be offered outside of the Kayo paywall in the new free tier/package. This includes:

  • 2 Super Netball games per round + all finals matches;

  • All Diamonds matches (aside from World Cup & Commonwealth Games matches); and

  • Netball magazine shows Fox Sports will be producing as part of the new deal

No FTA

I don’t think it matters as much, yes it’s a loss but netball fans have had to be digitally savvy for a while given the full crop of games have been online.

2 games per week on Kayo Freebies, i.e. free to anyone. Terrestrial FTA is essentially dead anyway.

With the confirmation of Foxtel winning the netball broadcast rights from Nine, the Netball Live app will cease to exist at the end of this year.

When added with yesterday’s announcement that Telstra would stop streaming live AFL and NRL games and offer its customers discounted access to Kayo, it is a huge boost for the streaming platform.

And there it is - $5 for a 12 months, then back to full price.

I didnt think Telstra guaranteed free AFL/NRL live access beyond the current season, maybe this is a similar deal?

They wouldn’t steal a car, but Foxtel tried to steal Seven’s exclusive free-to-air coverage of Supercars. Seven it seems has stopped the thief.

Something to lift the spirits of Broncos fans after their team picked up the wooden spoon last year.

F**k the Broncos. A whole week?

They going to do a week for any other team? No.

Because Channel Nine and the NRL giving them preferential treatment in prime time simply isn’t enough!

Hoping someone might be able to help me here!

So, whenever I chromecast my kayo from my phone, It always is delayed by a few minutes. Does anyone know how to ensure it is live when I cast it? FIA

Once you’ve got casting active, tap on the window where the video would have started playing initially, then tap live, this should then change from whatever delay it is on back to live.

Should be live by default but often I find the app does delay by a few minutes for some reason.
