Just sack one or both of them.

ITV, just hire me. I’ll make you number 1! Combination of Jeremy Kyle and Jerry Springer - you know you want it.

Unrelated to the Phil and Holly drama but when talking about another colleague it says

But a source said: “He and Phil were close, then he just went off to Loose Women, which is a rival show.

Would you really call another show that’s on the same network, produced by the same production company and on a different time slot a rival show?

Maybe, in terms of like staffing or content, they’d compete for the same people.

Good Morning Britain has updated their graphics, dropping the blob shape in the programme bug, new diagonal full screen wipes, and a more Sky News-esque supers:

New supers look good, nice little refresh. But by god those opening headlines need to be punchier, feels so drawn out - and the voiceover feels a bit meh.

And people say 7 Perth’s desk is big?

interesting the continued use of ITV Reem - you’d think they would move to the new ITV font that the network started using in November…

overall good refresh though

Really not a fan of this studio feels too wide and the set elements are poorly scaled.

The COVID desk was even bigger, this is the shrunken post-COVID version with several metres removed.

Nice and clean graphics. I’m surprised they haven’t dubbed the show GMB?

agreed - that COVID desk was ginormous!

I think they avoid that because there is a trade union in the UK called GMB.

You are correct, I forgot just how big the Covid desk was haha.

Tonight, their current affairs programme, has a new open and graphics that focused on the O, while reducing the amount of the ITV News teal compared to its predecessor. It’s designed by the Manchester-based Mighty Giant.

(Animation loop reuploaded from their website; watch there or on Tonight’s Instagram post for the full open)

How about this for a bit of a left of field suggestion for replacement:
Ben Boulos - BBC Breakfast Business Presenter (youtube.com)

Great on air, lovely on the eyes and ears, and a proper journo not an actor or former pollie. Great chance to lock in a main co-presenter.
