Great set, terrible show.

Looks like the old theme has come back!

Absolutely Love that set. Would love Today here in Aus to do a version similar.

Such a fantastic theme and opener.

And that set is exactly what Today should do here.

Nice set but a bit same same from the previous, would have been a good opportunity to give the show itā€™s first major rebrand.

An evolution makes much more sense. Especially while BBC Breakfast is so stale.

Iā€™m guessing due to Piers Morgan?

GMB Set Design is great, lotā€™s of space, looks bright and fresh!

Slightly unrelated to the topic of GMB but totally relevant to the threadā€¦ Ivā€™e never understood why ITV News has virtual set?! it looks good, but would look even better if it were a physical setā€¦

Maybe youā€™d like this to happen to Piers?

Piers is lucky the director and the editor is not punching Piers.

Heā€™s got one of the most punchable faces in the United Kingdom. Alongside this guy on the left of screen:

Whatā€™s new? The desk, riser and lighting strip behind the desk?

Looks okay, but the backdrop elements are looking a bit old, a bit of a mix of styles going on.

Seven Perth is going to need a bigger news desk if they want to retain that Guinness world record.

Susannah really canā€™t stand Piers Morgan if she needs to be that far away from him even considering Covid.

Basically yes. Will enable up to 5 at the desk with social distancing and means the two main presenters are shot head on, making a composite shot easier.

The previous desk only allowed for 2 - 3 at a push but it was awkward, and the composite shot was trickier thanks to the angles.

We thought the in-fighting amongst our breakfast television presenters was a problem. At least they donā€™t spit the dummy like this baby did when called out for poor behaviour.
