I don’t think Prime has ever claimed they want to be the Netflix of sports.
I don’t think Netflix has ever claimed they want to be the “Netflix of sports” (as you inferred by them ‘copying’ DAZN) - given they are Netflix, I’m not sure why they would.
The Amazon Prime comparison because they have a general entertainment catalogue and are adding live sport - as Prime did. DAZN is an out and out sporting service so suggesting Netflix is copying them makes little sense.
Game was also on DAZN Game Pass hosted by Drew Brees and Scott Hanson
Did DAZN show the halftime show of the second game?
But DAZN has claimed they want to be the Netflix of Sports. Now Netflix are copying them by wanting to be the Netflix of sports. Pretty simple really.
Simple is one word for that observation.
I am really not a fan of this. The curve, which I get is evoking the Netflix logo, is too harsh. Makes that centre section with the score too small compared to the rest of the bug.
The game itself was produced by CBS, while the studio segments were done by NFL Media (including using their studio in Los Angeles). You are right though that pretty much every NFL broadcaster had some talent as part of the broadcast.
They were hosting segments for the world feed during TV timeouts. Someone really needs to get Brees back on their broadcast because he has some good analysis (and I am not saying this as a Saints fan )
I actually don’t mind the score bug. The curvature may be a bit extreme but it shows the score clearly still.
Production was very slick - I dare say, it makes the Amazon Prime produced Thursday Night Football look quite stale.
Was a treat to also hear Ian Eagle and his son Noah back to back. Nice touch.
Ian Eagle will probably be Nantz successor when Nantz call it a day
Sky NZ took the Fox Cricket Big Bash pre-game tonight and then the first over from Fox, before smash cutting to Seven with the bowler at the top of his mark for the second over.
Usually they cut into Seven’s coverage post an ad break or as the players are coming out.
Chris Stubbs anchoring the morning/day session of the Australian Open on the world feed. Guests are Andrea Petkovic and Mark Petchey.
Had about a half hour discussion pre-the first match with features and interviews, including with a coach - given they can now be courtside.
There’s also the non-fronted secondary feed which has a continuity announcer linking the coverage they’re taking (usually avoiding Rod Laver Arena).
Some caps - primarily from the main feed but a couple of the secondary feed and individual courts - via Sky NZ:
Steph Brantz hosted the night session last night.
TNT Sports has been using a virtual set for its coverage of the Women’s Ashes series. This is from the post-match coverage following England’s 72-run defeat to Australia in the third T20 game at Adelaide Oval last night.

The scale just looks wrong from those wide angle caps, the presenters in that couch area look like dwarfs.
End of an era: Eurosport in UK and Ireland is to be integrated into the TNT Sports brand from February. More FTA sport coming to Quest too.
Shame, they could’ve called it TNT Eurosport.
British sport, TNT Sports. Euro-based sports, TNT Eurosport. Easy!
Especially given there’ll still be Eurosport branded coverage from the mainland.
I also know that ESPN have used their own graphics for all the tennis Majors (including the Australian Open and Wimbledon), though this year I think they also utilized the TA graphics such as the score bug on the bottom left, and an expanded one in between games/sets, as well as their own ones in between matches.
