I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

These are not shows that this programme should be emulating.

Ridiculous casting like this is the first sure sign a show is on its rapid decline.

Joel would have been such a more deserving winner in the end. Scarlett is full of soundbites for TV (not surprising considering what she does), but it was all so not-genuine.

Yes they are. These celeb shows are so much more entertaining in the UK and on another level to anything we get here. Our casting always plays it too safe. The way they do it in the UK by putting controversial people on, encouraging relationships (with a few young singles) and purposely casting conflicting personalities makes for great TV.

I also hope this season they have a couple intruders a couple weeks in. Last season got a bit boring/stale in the middle and would have definitely benefited from Intruders.

Because that’s worked so well in the past. The ‘sexy’ contestants have been the most boring the first two seasons.

Michievous1 is correct there, Chris. Ten wanting to cast ‘sexy singles’ means horrifically boring and dim-witted models, like Tim from Season 1, or Rohan from Australian Survivor.

I know the sort of UK ‘personalities’ you are talking about, but believe me, you won’t be getting them here.

I was actually making fun of an earlier article being posted here. I don’t actually think they are casting attractive young singles.

@Firetorch totally agree regarding Scarlett. Love her Gogglebox over in the UK but I much preferred Joel as well. I am glad Adam didn’t win though, although he was entertaining some things have annoyed me in the past about him.

Would Tim Dormer (Big Brother 2013 winner) count as a shock jock? Has has worked in radio and recently making some headlines for being in “a same-sex relationship with boyfriend and best friend”. Seems to love being on TV - Celebrity Apprentice, BB Canada.

Is that the “shock” part of it?

Tim Dormer is definitely the type of person that would do something like this. I think he would be great. He was one of the most entertaining Big Brother housemates ever and he was great on Celeb Apprentice too. He even made it to the Grand Final of Canadian Big Brother earlier this year coming 3rd, so he loves doing these sort of shows.

And his celebrity credentials are: appearing in reality TV shows?

He has done things things on radio that have “shocked” - quick Google search:

Big Brother winner Tim Dormer, who recently began weekly movie reviews on the breakfast radio show, has angered the show’s hosts and fans by revealing the film’s ending during his reviews.

‘Honk if you think I’m a W**ker’: Big Brother star Tim Dormer holds up huge sign on busy Sydney road causing traffic mayhem

Big Brother winner Tim Dormer admits he hooked up with Ke$ha

On radio this morning they joked about the “shock” of his same-sex relationship with male best friend but one host suggested he did this because he had run out of women to date on Tinder. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Why was he on Canadian Big Brother?

Four contestants from international versions of BB competed in a public poll to enter the house. He was one of two voted in.

I am pretty sure those rumours are incorrect. Although Sophie Monk would be funny. Iggy is boring!
