I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

No they don’t but he would definitely create drama. And yes his price would probably go up. Maybe to around $10-20k a week. Still pretty cheap compared to Shane Warne :stuck_out_tongue:. Either way though I don’t think he will be available. Rumours have it that he will be back on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK in January which runs throughout January, apparently it will be a heroes v villains sort of big brother. Charlotte Crosby is also tipped to join. I think Garry Beadle might be the way to go, not a big fan of his though, but I think Australian audiences will like him. He wants to get a bigger profile in Australia as well as he is considering a move here.

One condition is that he has to bring his dog and ‘The Daily Bailey Weather Wall the forecast where you get it all’ with him and have Cook Island getaways given out each night.

I mean it would be a good way to fill up some of the hour, imagine how the celebs react to him doing that!

Charlotte Crosby won’t be heading into the Australian Jungle this year, after she was favourite to win before the shows contestants were even announced. This leaves some room for the Australian version to pounce. Get on it! She might look at doing it as she has her very successful clothing range that could potentially be launched properly in Australia.

Is that because she’s doing UK Celebrity Big Brother again?

Probably there is talk of an All Stars season. Nothing confirmed though. She seemed a sure bet to by on I’m a Celeb.

Huh? Who?

What??? Geordie Shore helps my brain function. I am frequently watching this show and banging my head on the wall. My brain cells are in full tact :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes. Repeated concussion makes you think that.

I know I’ve said this previously but they really should look at “celebrities” from the UK version or UK Big Brother. Our cast are always so dull compared to those versions. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter if we know who they are or not. I want entertaining people. I think Kiera from the Bachelor would have to be a shoe in this year.

I think she would be a good pick. I agree with your last comment, I find that I am entertained by those that I don’t even know. Look at how boring Shane Warne was, and how much $$$ he cost. I would rather 2 interesting relatively unknowns than a boring Shane Warne.

But isn’t watching an unknown celebrity just like watching unknown housemates in Big Brother, to most people? Where’s the celebrity angle?

Well if you have watched the UK version of I’m a Celeb its about people thinking they are celebrities and can’t handle the jungle. The Celebrity title is to make fun of the celebrity aspect. The show has never been about getting the most well known celebrities but perhaps those that think they are celebrities or are well known in a specific field who cannot handle conditions to ultimately provide entertainment to those watching.

I think this is what a lot of Australian’s have assumed the show is about - celebrities. Which it is not. Unfortunately the Australian audience has a stigma about a show with the word celebrity in it.

I get the whole concept of deluded self importance. But even the most niche of “high profile” stars for this show need to be known to a percentage of the audience. Importing UK stars that we wouldn’t know from a bar of soap seems pointless to me. They may as well call it Big Brother and have your UK stars as intruders.

I think you will find that there is a percentage of people who watch the show and would know her. Its just that you and a few others that don’t watch the show wouldn’t. She has been to Australia several times, packed out clubs because of her appearance and had interviews on the radio. She isn’t ‘unknown’ to the general population.

" a few others that don’t watch the show wouldn’t?" okay…

Your probably just not in their demographic.

Are you telling me that someone like Tyson in the first season who we were told is a professional traveller was known to the Australian audience before the show? No. People from shows like Geordie Shore / Ex on the Beach etc are at least on TV and known to some people in Australia.
