I thought the production was a lot tighter. Last season there was a lot of time spent showing the cast sitting around interacting (thanks to Peter Abbott I think). There was virtually none of that tonight with the whole show full of staged events. I suspect they will leave the more natural interactions to the companion NOW program.

I don’t know what people expected from it to be honest. I would actually say it was better than some of the earlier episodes of the UK version.

I somehow doubt that a large majority of the population are particularly familiar with those names.

That said, I do think that Ten did get a few more “familiar” names compared to last year.

to be fair Akmal is one of the more well-known people there - he’s been touring and performing in prominence since around 1999 and has had a radio show in the mid noughties. Iron Woman is the only one I don’t really know.

Dean Geyer is quite well known! He was on Idol back in the day and I remember him the most from his stint on Neighbours which a lot of people around my age would have watched.

Them calling him a Hollywood heartthrob is stretching it though.
