Can’t be Jan because 7 has BBL. maybe after Idol in April around Easter but then there could be clashes with Sunday AFL matches etc but we won’t know fixture until November.
That’s why I thought after AFL in Oct/Nov would be the least interruptive

I think it will before idol in Q1. January is only 1 month in Q1. Why would they announce this now if it wasn’t coming early?
Friggin’ hell Seven.
Why must you keep bringing back formats from the dead? Seriously.
Why not it was 10s most successful reality show this year.
10 have been running ads to vote for Julia Morris & Robert Irwin in the Logies, wonder if those will cease now!
And then next minute, Seven might grab MCAU
Because they have no one in the creative sense to come up with their own ideas. When they do they mostly bomb! Seriously, except for their news and AFL they have nothing.
Most reality shows are international formats. So it is fair game if the format becomes available.
Big Brother for example has been on all 3 commercial networks, as it has in the UK - ITV, 4 & 5.
Aren’t all networks going to companies to get their reality franchises? I don’t know any shows at 10 that are produced in house.
Hey if 10 are too cheap to keep successful formats why shouldn’t a network pick it up? Don’t hate a network for keeping a successful show going.
No, MasterChef Australia is the highest-rating reality show on Network 10 in 2026, reaching a national total of 9 million viewers. I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here reached a national total of 7.3 million viewers. Even the much maligned Australian Survivor: Redemption Reached a national total of 7.1 million.
I’d argue celebrity was more successful for 10 than both considering the competition it was against. MasterChef has essentially had a free run during a time of year where more eyeballs are in front of the tv. Put MasterChef against married and celebrity during winter and I bet you see a huge difference
MCAU is still the highest grossing prime time tv since 2009.
Cause there’s no drama, divaness and it’s very honest.
Argue whatever you like, the figures don’t lie! Sounds like you work for Channel 7 with all your spin. What’s your opinion of how well 7 did BB?
I’m not biased like you. You have even admitted that. Personally I like the show and am glad a show that I watch on FTA isn’t being axed. FTA is a dying market and channel 10 aren’t doing anything to help that. I don’t understand how you could continue to argue for channel 10 with the amount they have axed with no replacements. I’m worried you’d support them if they aired the Donald Trump show that just says positive things about him. They don’t seem to do anything wrong by you.
might be time for you to research the boss of paramount and whether this a correlation between things like the project getting axed and his job starting.
Says Mr 10 him self lol
Now your just being insulting.
Read my previous post where I said 10 have made many mistakes recently i.e. News +, an hour of Big Bang on main channel, getting rid of this show, not doing Amazing Race. The reason 10’s owners are f***ed is because of the owners closeness to trump and the harm they are doing to CBS and probably soon to HBO, Warner Brothers and goodbye CNN.
I do agree linear TV is dying.
As for @David your continual comments are just becoming boring! I’ve more than once explained why I try to say good things about 10. From my early days in Australia they were the most ‘innovative’ when it came to programming. Not so much in recent years maybe. 7 used to be a good channel with their drama programs etc. Not so much anymore.
I actually think you are trying to be insulting. I have never defended a network like you do. I am not spinning anything. If I have a bias it’s towards Australian products. It’s about Australian stories and Australian jobs. I don’t watch a lot of FTA so having two shows that I watched frequently be axed by 10 makes me quite disappointed at them as a network. They have quietly but surely cut Australian products and jobs. And the fact you don’t acknowledge that is a little disappointing. As for the trump comment I am serious. The man that is currently the boss of paramount is a very close friend to Trump. And 10 has slowly cut shows since he got the job starting with a show that was considered ‘woke’. 10 is not the network you once loved and the fact you are defending them is you defending a MAGA.
I do applaud 7 though for committing to some much local content, including drama. It might not be of your taste but at least they invest locally. It’s a shame your bias can’t even give them a compliment for something they do well.
I like this idea to start it’s new chapter..
Both Nat, during the initial announcement, and Seven have been quoted as saying “an all new cast”.
