Wow. Will be interesting to see what they do re hosts? Will they bring Rob and Julia across?

Of course they have the Bondi Vet on staff so could return him to the show

They used Dr Chris and Julia on the graphic so I suspect it will be him hosting, not Robert. He has nothing to do at 7. Same for Sonia.

What graphic?

It’d actually be interesting to see Julia go into the jungle as a contestant.

We live in the era where formats need to be constantly revived by other networks. I am happy about this but maybe a year break wouldn’t go astray before re-launching a format? It could still be the case as I assume there are a lot of logistics and rights they have to work through with the change of networks. At least 7 are more likely to put a bit more money into the show and hopefully go back live etc.

Get ready, Australia!

The world’s most famous jungle has a new home on Seven in 2027

The Seven Network today announced that the international reality phenomenon I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will join its hit entertainment lineup in 2027, marking an exciting new chapter for one of television’s most successful and talked-about franchises.

The iconic series will bring its signature mix of adventure, humour and high-stakes challenges to Seven audiences for the first time, as an all-new cast of celebrities brave the elements, tackle unforgettable trials and compete for the coveted title of King or Queen of the Jungle.

Southern Cross Media Group’s Managing Director, Television and Streaming, Angus Ross, said: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is one of the world’s most recognisable entertainment formats and we’re incredibly excited to welcome it to Seven in 2027.

“This is a proven franchise with a passionate fan base and we look forward to bringing our own fresh energy and ambition to its next chapter.”

ITV Studios Australia’s CEO & Managing Director, David Mott, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to partner with the Seven Network to unleash the next massive evolution of I’m A Celebrity… in 2027.

“For over ten years, Australian audiences have loved this iconic show, and with terrifying trials, hilarious camp drama and heartfelt celebrity revelations, ITV Studios Australia is ready to deliver a brand-new era for the Jungle.”

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is created by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, which also distributes the format internationally. It is produced by ITV Studios Australia for the Seven Network.

The series will make its debut on Seven and 7plus in 2027.

I’m glad it’s been picked up. Madness 10 axed it.

Just hope Seven uses the same formula 10 did, and not ruin the show.

Would be interesting to see when it will air?

Really? I thought they would be putting Sonia cougar on hosting duties with the 10 other shows 7 has her host lol.

Just hope it doesn’t end up like another “Budget” Big Brother.

OH MY GOD.

First question: why is it necessary to have a new thread for the show when it moves networks?

Second question: when should the show air? From my point of view, if Seven wants to air it on Thursdays, it must do so before the 150th anniversary cricket test at the MCG, which starts on March 11. However, if the network chooses the pre-recorded route, it won’t have to air it on Thursdays and could wait until mid year.

Nothing in their announcement about returning it to the original live format unfortunately.

7 won’t be airing it in Jan like 10 as they have cricket commitments and they air Idol in Feb. So it would have to be after Idol and maybe before Farmer. But then they have AFL on some Sunday nights so when they air it will be interesting. maybe September to November period?

In 2026 their big shows are Idol, Farmer, Voice & MKR. If they all return then i could see Celeb being towards the end of the 2027 so it’s away from sports and they can air it without interruption from sports

Seven and a half thousand posts in the other thread. Felt like it was a natural time to reboot given the change in networks and the higher traffic that it will generate before launch.

Let the guessing game start with the hosts

My guess is

Dr Chris Brown and Robert Irwin

The question will be: Will they rue the day they gave this up? One of many fuck ups from McGarvey. I think they’re deliberately tanking the network.

Maybe 2027 on 7 looks like this?

  • Feb to April: Idol
  • April to June/July: Farmer
  • July to Sept/Oct: Voice
  • Sept to Oct: MKR
  • Oct to Nov/Dec: I’m A Celeb

It also gives a mini 1-year break for the show if it’s airing towards the end of the year. If 7 keeps the same format and it goes back to being LIVE, then it can only realistically work starting in late September or early October, since 7 doesn’t have any sports commitments during that time to impact the airing of the show
