Looks like they’ve avoided the trap of casting celebrities (like every other 10 reality show ATM)

New promo aired during MasterChef tonight. It was a crossover with the latest Mission: Impossible movie.

The clip began as a promo for Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly Australia, then suddenly Ben Owen (deputy chief hunter) appeared on the screen spelling out the task for Hunted, with Mission: Impossible theme music in the background. He finished with “this tape will self destruct in three seconds”.

EDIT: there was another version aired during HYBPA, this time it was the promo for Location Location Location which was interrupted.

Time’s Up For Where’s Wally Duo.

Hunted. Captured: Cath And Kel, Victoria.

In the season premiere of Hunted, 10 fearless teams embarked on a heart-stopping challenge, striving to avoid capture for 21 days armed with only $300 and an overnight bag.

The Fugitives are on a mission to outsmart the formidable Hunters, led by The Chief, legendary former Detective Superintendent Dr. David Craig. Ultimately, the race was soon over for Cath and Kel, whose Where’s Wally taunt led the Hunters directly to their seemingly safe haven.

Earlier, Team Cyber were laser focussed on infiltrating the Fugitives’ electronic devices. Discovering booby traps set by gamer duo Ben and Callum, a new target was set. Meanwhile, the Hunters struck gold when they cracked open Glenn and Taylah’s vulnerable Melbourne network, intercepting messages from their contact, NRL player Jayden Nokorima. It was a race against time as the Hunters gained crucial insights into the Fugitives’ intricate plans.

Lifelong friends Cath and Kel unleashed their audacious taunting tactics, provoking HQ with Where’s Wally pictures sent via Facebook. Little did they know that their risky move inadvertently led the Hunters directly to a close confidant who had been secretly plotting to aid the dynamic duo. Unbeknown to Cath and Kel, Georgina’s seemingly secure home in Prahran, was soon cornered by relentless Hunters, and their race was over.

Team Alpha set their sights on Glenn and Taylah in Bendigo, tracking down the van they used in their escape. Their investigation led them to question Gary, the associate who had been assisting the fugitive pair. Armed with a list of cars registered to Gary’s house, Team Alpha launched into a high-speed chase, fixated on a Chevrolet that holds the potential to uncover the elusive Fugitives. However, it turned out to be a dead end, providing a temporary setback for the Hunted HQ team.

But the biggest gamble of all came from the daring siblings Byron and Tanase, who staged the first-ever live taunt in a buzzing inner suburbs bar, within arm’s reach of three Ground Hunter teams. The suspense was palpable as the clock ticked away, leaving everyone wondering if this brother and sister team would be captured next.

With 19 days remaining and 18 Fugitives still on the run, the question remains: who will continue to evade capture?

To hear about Cath and Kel’s time on the run, check out their interview on 10 Play HERE.

Hunted. Continues Tuesday 18 July At 7.30pm Only On 10 And 10 Play.

In the first episode last night, the boat carrying the 10 teams entered Hobson’s Bay at 5am and the sky was still dark when it was just below the West Gate Bridge. It was bright sunshine when the boat berthed at Docklands’ North Wharf, a trip that would have taken just 15 minutes. Did the boat go around in circles in the hours inbetween?

They stopped for breakfast. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Having seen the first season, the hunted are a much for aware of the hunters’ tactics and switched on to how to avoid them.

However, as Hunted HQ digital forensics expert Jay Banerji pointed out during last night and tonight’s episodes, some teams still made fundamental mistakes before handing over their mobiles at the start of the game, e.g. they forgot to wipe the back up of their WhatsApp chats and SMS messages, allowing experts to recover the data from the phone and finding the contestants’ friends and contacts.

High-Flyers Crash Landing.

Hunted. Captured: Gracie, Queensland.

In tonight’s episode of Hunted, brother-sister duo Byron and Tanase managed to slip away from the Hunters after a daring Instagram live taunt. Gamers, Ben and Callum declared a cyber warfare, while Glenn and Taylah kept the Hunters on their toes. But despite going to great heights, it was Megan and Gracie’s high-flying tactics that weren’t enough to keep the Hunters from closing in.

Following their provocative Instagram taunt, ground Hunter Teams Alpha, Charlie, and Delta raced to Byron and Tanase’s location. It was the nearest of near misses, as the siblings narrowly escaped through a back door and jumped into a waiting getaway car, and straight to a safe house provided by their Ghanaian contacts. With the trail growing cold, the chief assembled a team of professional Hunters to pursue new leads.

Meanwhile, Holly and Josh’s escape plan hit a snag when the desired camping location was closed, leading them to seek shelter at their friend Kester’s place. Unbeknown to them, Kester’s suspicious behaviour inadvertently bought them time as they narrowly escaped just before the Hunters arrived.

The team’s focus shifted to auntie and niece beauty duo, Megan and Gracie, who have been out of sight since day one. With a well-connected friend, Isaac, providing them with a private plane getaway to the Mornington Peninsula, they believed they had shaken off the relentless Hunters. Disguised as an old woman and young tradie, they boarded a ferry to Queenscliff, unaware that HQ had been investigating their impending contact, Kim. Their friend Ben was waiting for them at the ferry terminal and drove them to Kim’s work address, an art studio in Breakwater, Geelong.

Team Bravo interrogated Kim but found no leads until they discovered her alternate address. Tracking Kim’s movements, Team Bravo raced after Kim, anticipating her retrieval of the Fugitives, only to find an empty art studio and CCTV evidence revealing Megan and Gracie’s escape in a separate vehicle. Panicked, Megan swiftly contacted Ben for a backup plan, leading to a daring escape where they out manoeuvred Team Bravo by slipping away into a neighbour’s house while the Hunters closed in on Ben’s residence. But just as Megan and Gracie thought they had found a safe haven, HQ pinpointed Ben’s drop off location, a caravan park in Wincheslea, leading to the ultimate cat and mouse chase where Gracie was captured, but Megan managed to escape by a whisker.

17 Fugitives remain on the run as Hunted continues Wednesday night at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.

I like how it said “tonight” when it was already finished airing :joy:

The stadium ads were targeted at WA viewers. The match kicked off at 6pm local time and finished at 8pm, which still allowed viewers to switch to the main channel to see the last 45 minutes of the episode.

Megan’s Demise By Drone.

Hunted. Captured: Megan, Queensland.

In tonight’s episode of Hunted, the Cyber Intelligence team went undercover in an attempt to track down gamers Ben and Callum, an online booking had the Hunters circling Ed and Jimi, and Boxer and Coach duo, Taylah and Glenn, had the Hunters hot on their heels but much to the Hunter’s frustration, they slipped through their fingers once again.

After last night’s dramatic capture of Gracie, her aunt Megan had managed to evade the Hunter teams Alpha and Bravo, a mere 500 metres away from where Gracie was captured, but a drone was successfully deployed to flush Megan out, leading to the capture of the Hunter’s second Fugitive team.

Since day one, fugitive friends Ed and Jimi had been laying low in Melbourne’s East, while Jimi’s mum, Joanne had driven 1000 kms to help them escape the suburbs. However, the Cyber Team discovered their next moves through Joanne’s online hotel booking. Ground Hunter team Bravo was dispatched, but the vigilant duo managed to escape on foot.

Meanwhile at the Hunted HQ, the Cyber team had their sights set on gamer friends Ben and Callum, who had caused trouble during their attempts to infiltrate the Hunter’s network. Cyber team member Steph, discovered that Callum and Ben shared a home with Callum’s fiancé Sarah. Seeking payback, she paid Sarah a visit under the guise of an admin assistant to gain access to the Fugitives’ home computers.

Boxer and coach duo, Glenn and Taylah moved from Bendigo to Melbourne, securing a new car to hit the road. Soon after, they ditched the car and secured a lift from a stranger. Borrowing the stranger’s phone to arrange a safe haven, they were unaware that many of their associates’ phones had been put on intercept by the Hunters. The Hunters overheard their next plan and deployed ground teams Bravo and Charlie to the large complex in Richmond where the duo were headed. Unfortunately for the Hunters, they went to the wrong apartment, allowing Glenn and Taylah to hit the road, narrowly evading capture once again.

With 17 days remaining, 16 Fugitives remain on the run as Hunted continues Sunday night at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.

I think Megan and Gracie moved too fast. They did the right thing by getting on a small private plane from Essendon Airport to the Mornington Peninsula. Had they stayed there overnight and waited until next day to travel by ferry across to Queenscliff, they might not have been caught.

EDIT: I wonder if 10’s publicity highlights (as posted in Ten Network schedules thread) give away too much information as to the progress of the show.

For example, by the end of episode 6 next Tuesday (July 25), five teams would have been caught. And the Hunters would grab another team in the July 30 episode.

While the pair found it “exciting” to relive their experience on TV, they admit it was “frustrating” seeing how much had been edited out.

“There was a lot more that we experienced that obviously, the whole of Australia doesn’t get to experience with us,” Gracie says. “There was about six days worth [of content] and it was all kind of crammed into the one day and made it look like we just caught a plane for fun and then had to go back to where we came from.”

“We had quite a few nights in Geelong as well which was cut out,” Megan says. “At the end of the day, it made a really good episode and great TV, but it was hard watching because we knew so much more.”

Megan then revealed that she had overheard them talking about bringing out a “dog squad” which caused her to give up hope.

That’s such bs they don’t have those do they?
