It was a random name I used for MediaSpy. Totally random.
And I am pleased to see that my Hubbl is back up and working this morning.

Has anyone else picked up the change to sky interface slightly? I canāt see the regular Hubbl logo on top right, and the typeface I think is the same as Sky. I think I like it better.

I know you do get some of the Sky typeface during the initial setup, but still the Hubbl font for the rest of the UI
Definitely different, but for the better. Hubbl logo also gone!

Iāve actually done the same thing dince my pc failed and Iāve moved more towards playing PlayStation. Iāve utilised a spare monitor and put the hubbl box on it so I can watch sport whilst playing sport.

As someone who works in IT - Hubbl did a semi decent job communicating with us. Having been in the trenches when things happen (Crowdstrike was one that springs to mind) you donāt want to get info out early in case its wrong but you want info out there to cut down on people coming to you for info.
the only minor quibble i have is that i feel like it should have been $25 a device not account - i have 3 devices - 2 of which are watched pretty much all the time (one in the lounge and one in the bedroom)

its a well known bug. its supposed to run off your postcode that you enter during setup. canāt be changed by the end user

I donāt really like it anyway. Lucky it was only $79.
Locking down the App Store is why some of the other app stores have landed in court. I was going to get a unit but beinsport isnāt available on the Hubbl.

Just a thought re Hubbl and functionality.
If they wanted to try and create a stronger point of difference, and Iām not sure if itās possible, but given that channels are coming via app - wondering if the channel list could be expanded to include other channels on apps that exist within Hubbl.
eg the CBS News stream on Paramount+, or some of the more āstableā channels on 9Now, 10play, 7+ (ie not pop up channels)
Even if it was just a few of the channels from each, itād be a way of differentiating the product.

Do the Kayo Binge and Flash channels appear in the channel list, or just FTA?

Iāve only got Kayo, but yes, those show up on the Hubbl TV guide, so I assume Binge & Flash would be the same.

I asked my local JB where I could find hubbl and they took me to the Apple TV. I had to explain what it is and they eventually found the units on a high shelf collecting dust. Not even one on display!
