Hubbl

Awkies.

You’d think staff would be trained on new items.

They were actually trying to save you from making a decision you’ll regret
I’ve been to a few JBs and seen display stands for them. Guess yours is an outlier

Disney+ isn’t available in 4K on Hubbl. That’s an annoying issue.

I keep getting offeres for Kato for $1.00, have ignored about 4 messages in the past week or so. I’m not interested in having Kato during lane summer duck season since I don’t watch any sport apart from the AFL during the year.

So they’ve told me it is in 4K.

Can someone please check for me?

I’m pretty sure it’s not.

me too.

thats why they do it this time of year - its the lull between the end of the AFL / NRL seasons and the test matches

Good for them, but hounding the shit out of my phone by sending 4 of the same messages in a week will not get me to bite. Sounds desperate.

Hubbl are insisting that Disney+ is available in 4K on their platform but it isn’t for me.

Can anyone confirm if they have Disney+ on Hubbl whether it’s 4K or not?

Maybe I have to subscribe through Hubbl for it to be 4K? Surely not. Netflix, Stan, Prime and Paramount are all 4K without having to subscribe through Hubbl.

Is there any way you can check this in the settings? either via the Disney + app or on Hubbl?

So the Hubbl settings is 4K but in the Disney app itself it doesn’t go above HD.

i’ve actually stopped using my Hubbl

was great during the AFL season, but now just use my own Google TV OS on my TCL TV

Does it actually tell you this in the app? I only ask because Kayo and Binge have a similar issue on Fire stick but it tells you very clearly when 4k content won’t work and it just plays it in HD.

Yup it does.

Also on sale at hubbl.com.au

If you getting one, unless you need it NOW or are using something like Afterpay get it from hubbl.com.au

Hubbl.com.au will deliver and set it up (it comes in 2 boxes - one has the panel and the other has the stand. It’s frankly a bit of a bitch to put together due to the size and weight. They will also take the packaging as well - when I got my 55inch screen I ended up doing a dump run to just get rid of the cardboard packaging- fortunately Brisbane city council don’t charge to dump recycling.

I think there are two big issues with the glass. One was the cost - they costed it as a premium product and whilst I really like the picture and sound quality it’s not the same as a 55inch Samsung that can be brought for under $1000.

At a $700 price point (makes you wonder on the profit margins on them if they can slash them that much) it’s suddenly more attractive and is in about the right price point.

The next major issue is the exclusivity to Harvey Norman. The local HN around me are not actually that convenient to get to compared to places like JB (which is in the local mall). Asking people to drop even $700 on a tv, sight unseen is a big task (if they are buying online) or going to an out of the way shop to buy it is a recipe for disaster. If I was Foxtel, I’d be desperate to get them into places like JB and even Big W.
