Hubbl are now saying you need to do a few steps to put your device or tv into Manual recovery mode to fix the issue

Yeah mine’s borked too. My Hubbl is connected to a HDMI-capable monitor so I got woken up a few times by a boot looping device. I’ll do the reset later tonight before the footy finals.

Took me a few tries but finally got something different on the screen. Now having to go through the whole wizard and I assume will need to sign into everything again… Yay!

I’ve actually also had to re-register the box to my account which I never had to do before, it was done by Hubbl prior to me getting it.

Seems like a overly convoluted process to reset it just introduce a menu option.

No good if you haven’t got a menu.

Anyway, my recovery process has hit a snag - I need to put in a PIN which tells me is the last digits of my mobile number but they don’t work. I go to the link to get it reset and it doesn’t send the email and I can’t go any further without it. Yay.

As per the instructions

  1. You may see “Incorrect PIN” onscreen once you’ve entered your PIN. If you see this, turn the device off and on at the wall.

Finally got a text message from Hubbl about the outage. Only over 12 hours late. :sweat_smile:

Hubbl have just text me. If I do nothing, the problem will be fixed by the morning.

Yeah I tried all that, in the end I changed my email address and it finally came through even though it wasn’t getting caught in any of my spam or Microsoft quarantine. I’m in but I’ve got to set all my favourites again but it looks like the bug with me not being able to access my account information or time zone and other settings are finally fixed - apart from it telling me my billing is out of date (again - even though it’s not).

Did the recovery measures, and I’m back in - thank god cause I don’t have my Apple TV plugged in at the moment and the footy is on soon!

Is Hubbl better? Why’s your Apple TV not plugged in? I’ve tried all the devices except Hubbl and found Apple TV to be absolutely faultless. Except in design. I hate the layout.

I’ve found Hubbl really good for watching Kayo and it did a really good job with Stan during the Olympics.

I moved my TV and connected devices a few weeks ago temporarily, didn’t bother plugging the Apple TV back in because Hubbl was more than serviceable for the period of time I need it set up in a temporary state.

mine was affected too :confused:

The recovery process worked for me too - apart from the remote not syncing correctly via Bluetooth. Made sure I unlinked the “old” box first on my account before registering the “new” one.

But what a pain.

I do like my Hubbl though because it’s made use of a spare computer monitor as a pseudo TV.

My name is much better than Nick, but it was already taken!
