Home and Away

They got Amy Shark to do the promo song for 2025 and changed her lyrics in her song to the characters names. If someone can upload it

Following the 2025 promo, the episode ended with the international closing theme, accompanied by a montage of the scenery of the bay (may of been the international credits).

Home and Away will return for 2025 on Monday January the 13th.

It is a luxury that local viewers get to see the international closing theme and credits.

The song is called Two Friends.

Don’t think they have been seen on air in Australia since at least the early 2000s? Was a nice treat hear it anyway, instead of putting the credits underneath the promo.

Home and Away returns in 2025

Is a Summer Bay favourite guilty of brutal attack?

Home and Away will return for 2025 on Monday, 13 January, picking up right where last night’s nail-biting season final left off on Channel 7 and 7plus.

The drama-fuelled, feature-length season final left multiple lives hanging in the balance, with Harper (Jessica Redmayne) about to undergo a rare and complex surgery to try and save her unborn baby, and Constable Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) caught red-handed, covered in blood, kneeling over Tim’s (George Pullar) seemingly lifeless body.

Cash has been discovered by Justin (James Stewart) at the scene of a violent crime after an intense late-night altercation between Cash and Eden’s (Stephanie Panozzo) new boyfriend, Tim. But as day breaks, Cash is seen waking up on the ground, crawling over to an unresponsive and bloodied Tim.

With the evidence stacking up against him, the question on everyone’s lips will soon be: is Cash responsible for the brutal attack on Tim? With a new detective on the case and more questions than answers, is the Bay’s resident cop looking at a life behind bars?

Also, will Dr Levi Fowler’s (Tristan Gorey) risky surgery on Harper and her unborn baby boy end in success or devastation?

The new year also promises fresh faces in the Bay, new romances, an emotional goodbye, and the highly anticipated return of Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) and Dean (Patrick O’Connor) for an exciting storyline set in the Whitsunday Region of tropical north Queensland.

Don’t miss a second of the drama, when Home and Away returns Monday, 13 January on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Closing Credits at the end of 2024 final episode

I know you don’t get the closing credits now but I do wish they’d change the vocal on the version used in the UK - it’s absolutely awful. A different vocal is used on the brief opening which is much better.

Of course really they should just reinstate the theme tune - no Home and Away fan is switching off because of the theme tune taking up 30 seconds. Quite the opposite in fact.

Such a dull finale.

Anyone record this?

The 19-year-old has been spotted on the set of Home and Away after reportedly landing a job in the wardrobe department. The new gig comes after her mum, Bec, starred on the show between 1998 and 2005, playing the fan-favourite character Hayley Smith Lawson.

Why don’t home and away producers bring back old characters like every other Soap Opera. I wouldn’t even call Home and Away a soap opera any more more a teen drama?

Yes, its part of the reason I switched off around 10 years ago. The turn around for cast members on Home and Away is a lot greater than, lets say Neighbours. However Home and Away is more drama focused these days then character driven. Or at least that’s how I see it. But obviously they do have their stable cast members of Alf, Irene, Roo, Leah, Marilyn and John.

Agreed. I was thinking that perhaps Bec Hewitt (Hayley) could return briefly with a daughter because her real life daughter Ava is apparently keen on acting. I believe she’s currently working behind the scenes.

There are still plenty of long-term characters on the show so it wouldn’t be hard to find long-lost relatives.

Both Neighbours and Home & Away started a slow downfall, the latter less so, from 2007 IMO. That mid-2000s era was the peak

Hasn’t it always revolved around teenagers, starting with the Fletcher family?

They need a big Irene storyline. Then they can bring back all her foster kids.

Didn’t they do her drinking again and send her to rehab while Lynn was doing her musical or play?

And revolves around teens less now than at any point in the last 37 years. Also think it’s relatively high cast turnover is actually a positive and keeps it fresh rather than the same characters cycling through the same stories year after year.

yep. She’s currently in rehab. I think she is back early this year
