Well Home and Away is a soapie so not rubbish at all.
Less than a week ago, McGranger underwent surgery to address a âtoxic overactive thyroidâ â a condition she described as âincompatibleâ with her health and wellbeing.
Here is the link to the article, in which Bonnie also talks about her role of Cheryl in upcoming Stan drama series Thou Shall Not Steal.
It only takes one question about Home And Away for Bonnie Sveen to start tearing up.
Bonnie is talking to TV WEEK via Zoom from her home in Tasmania about her new series, Thou Shalt Not Steal. When asked what she misses about her time in Summer Bay playing Ricky Sharpe, she gets so emotional that she momentarily canât speak.
âOh goodness!â she says, once sheâs recovered. âSorry! It was just so joyous. I guess I feel a little bit sad because you canât go back. I cried to my agent about it last year too, when I went and met with the guys again. Iâll never stop loving everybody that I got to work with.â
Fan favourites make surprise return to Home and Away
Sophie Dillman and Patrick OâConnor return to Home and Away in 2025
Home and Away fan favourites Sophie Dillman and Patrick OâConnor will reprise their roles as Ziggy Astoni and Dean Thompson when they return to Channel 7 and 7plus in the new year.
Scenes will be filmed this month in the Whitsunday Region of tropical north Queensland, for a top-secret storyline that will play out at a yet to be announced date, early 2025.
Prior to their on-screen departure, Ziggy and Dean were long-standing residents of Summer Bay, whose on-again-off-again romance took Home and Away fans by storm.
After a turbulent pregnancy in 2023, Ziggy and Dean welcomed baby girl Izzy into the world. The three were last seen on screens in March 2023, when they made the difficult decision to say goodbye to the Bay and head north to Queensland so Dean could be closer to his son, Jai.
On returning to Australiaâs #1 drama, Sophie Dillman says: âIt feels so good to be home!â
Patrick OâConnor added: âI canât wait for the action, and for fans to see this storyline play out.â
Home and Away fans can stay tuned for more information in the new year about Ziggy and Deanâs highly anticipated return.
This basically redeemed the show
Iâm guessing that itâs only for a short stint as the article mentions it involves scenes filmed in the Whitsunday and Patrick saying that he canât wait âto see this storyline play outâ.
Wedding for Mac?
Just think of all the TV Week covers this will produce!
Home and Away season final will be 90 minutes on Wednesday 20 November
That is VERY early this year.
Agree - also feels like it might be a lacklustre final, especially since they are killing someone off next week before the end of the season. I guess they didnât want it to be interrupted by Day 4 & 5 of the Perth test if the test doesnât finish before then. Still, could at least run it until the Thursday.
Feels like all the networks apart from ABC seem to shut up shop earlier each year - no wonder more people are turning to streaming.
Killing someone off?
I know who is leaving but they arenât being killed off. Unless thereâs another departure Iâm unaware of?
Sorry got mixed up - thought they were killing someone off from what I saw online.
Perhaps you were confused with a UK article? There was a death last month in Aus and the UK is a few weeks behind.
Most likely - once again, apologies for the confusion.
It is just one week earlier than the end of the OzTam ratings year.
The final week of ratings has Test Cricket
Hence why you will see finales of MKR, Alert: Missing Persons Unit and a few other smaller shows the week prior.
Only shows moving forward after that week are S.W.A.T and the new series Murder in a Small Town, The Big Trip and possibly Highway Patrol and a couple of other smaller shows.
I guess itâs too early to know if Itâll be back early Jan again like the last two years?
Yes I know that, but to me, it still seems like they donât put in that much effort beyond November.
Also, test cricket is only for Monday & Tuesday (unless it wraps up before then) - still room on Wednesday & Thursday that week.
I think the idea was to wrap up on Wednesday, rather than come back the following week and wrap on Wednesday and Thursday.
Seven have done Monday finales for a while. There is no point running finale on a weaker share night like Thursday.
There will still be content on Wednesday and Thursday in the final week - The Big Trip, Highway Patrol etc
A night of deadly consequences ends in bloodshed
Home and Awayâs season final week is almost here
Home and Away âs unmissable season final week promises a blossoming new romance, a life-altering decision, and a night that will see one of Summer Bayâs favourites left with blood on their hands.
An unexpected spark is set to ignite between newcomer Abigail (Hailey Pinto) and surfer hunk, Mali (Kyle Shilling) when Abigail surprises him by organising and successfully pulling off a Gala Day for the board shop. The pair are elated with the crowds the last-minute event has drawn and, caught up in the moment, share a kiss. Could this be the start of the next big romance in Summer Bay?
Elsewhere in the Bay, emotions are running high after an ultrasound picks up a complication with Harperâs (Jessica Redmayne) unborn baby.
When Levi (Tristan Gorey) explains the babyâs condition to Tane (Ethan Browne) and Harper, the expectant parents are faced with an impossible decision: to wait and hope the issue rectifies itself on its own, or to go ahead with a rare and risky in-utero surgery. Harper fears for her unborn child â nobody is operating on her baby, but by not having the surgery Harper is endangering her own life. Will Harper change her mind and consent to the risky surgery?
Meanwhile, Wednesdayâs feature-length season final kicks off with the Lyrik gang â Remi (Adam Rowland), Eden (Stephanie Panozzo), Kirby (Angelina Thomson), Theo (Matt Evans) â heading out of town to a luxurious private estate for a band rehearsal getaway. Justin (James Stewart), Bree (Juliet Godwin) and Edenâs new boyfriend Tim (George Pullar), have also tagged along for the trip. Eden and Tim hope to spend some quality time together, away from Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), who has been spiraling in his obsession to âprotectâ Eden from Tim.
But trouble arises when Cash turns up uninvited with a serious warning message he wants to get to Eden. Are his concerns legitimate? Or has the broken cop finally snapped and done the unthinkable?
You canât afford to miss a night of deadly consequences. Home and Awayâs season final week starts 7.00pm Monday, 18 November, and concludes with 2024âs action-packed, feature-length finale on Wednesday, 20 November on Channel 7 and 7plus.
