It may be true but it’s a bit tacky to highlight this when Neighbours is finishing shortly.
I wonder if they did it because Neighbours are going to be showing double episodes from 13 June. Will Neighbours be screening directly against Home And Away again?
I reckon they commissioned the report after Neighbours was axed to see if it was worth keeping Home and Away.
Can’t imagine that being an issue. Neighbours rates poorly and wouldn’t be any threat to anything on the main channels.

Well Home and Away is also rating “poorly” now. There are a lot of viewers who watch both so Neighbours might take some viewers away ftom Home and Away in the next few weeks.
Well Neighbours rates about 20%of what Home and Away does, so not too many watch both.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see H&A get a ratings increase in the form of Neighbours viewers looking for a new drama to watch.

Unfortunately, Home & Away will eventuate go the way of Neighbours. Once numbers don’t stack up in the 7pm timeslot its gone.
I think we are there now.

I think H&W potentially has (maybe) 2 more years left. Soon as the younger demo goes… it’ll be gone.

The deal with the UK Broadcaster doesn’t have an end date. I dare say it will be here for some time.

The new? Dr last night was Septimus Caton . I think that is Michael Caton’s son .
He also did the voice over narrating for My Kitchen Rules .
Apparently played a guest role in 2007 on Home and Away .
I didn’t know who he was but it was obvious he’d done voiceover work. Didn’t realise it was MKR though.

I thought he looked like the actor who played Ben Astoni if he was a bit older with more facial hair .
Can’t find anything online whether he is a permanent character though.

Its watched… but not as popular as Neighbours is. Hence why Ch 5 payed for most of Neighbours production costs, where Ch 7 (here) funds the majority of its production.
