Home and Away

To be fair, Mia was around for maybe a year, and Ryder was 4 1/2 years. But I do get your point and kinda agree.

The actors are put on initial 3 year contracts aren’t they? So presumably the actor that played Ryder had he’s contract renewed at least once. It appears that the writers ran out of ideas of how to write out Ryder as he never showed an interest in cruise ships until the last month or so since the Salt casino poker plotline started. Doesn’t seem very realistic.

I would like to see a full time gay couple join the show. Neighbours has been far more progressive in this regard with Home and Away doing as little as possible. I think it is a pitty as Home and Away i would dare say is the more popular of the two shows in Australia. I believe the reason for this was to how the public reacted to a storyline with Charlie Braxton years ago. Now is the perfect time. May provide the boost the show needs.

Given Lukas is gay, it wouldn’t have been a stretch to get him to play a gay character. The closest he got was a quick kiss with his friend a few years back.

They keep having ridiculous gay plot lines the latest being the actress that used to play Mel on Packed to the Rafters went out with one of the characters whos name ive forgotten. The character was otherwise straight. People at the age of this character know their sexuality in their early to mid 20s. So swapping between a gaybl and hectro relationship just doesn’t happen at that age much. It just felt poorly done. Like the writers had to have a gay plot line and choose someone at random.

The kiss between Charlie and Joey.

You might be surprised.

Just like the new love interest of Aussie musician G Flip. Soap actress turned reality star Chrishell Stause was married or engaged to famous male actors but at 40, is now dating a woman.

Im not saying it doesn’t happen but the show has had multiple simular plot lines with gay characters in recent years. Mainly due to laziness on the part of the writers. Oh we need to have a gay character oh x character is a good fit then we will write out the character after a few months.

Danger week

Romance, revenge and bloodshed on Australia’s #1 drama

Strap in for soaring highs and nail-biting lows, when one of the biggest and most dangerous weeks of the year hits Australia’s #1 drama, Home and Away , 7.00pm Monday to Thursday on Channel 7 and 7plus.

A brewing romance between two young lovebirds reaches an emotional crescendo this week, when a smitten Theo (Matt Evans) goes all out to take Chloe’s (Sam Barrett) mind off her troubled home life, whisking her off to a surprise picnic. The grand gesture is made even sweeter by a talented Theo serenading her with his guitar. Sparks may be flying, but do Summer Bay’s newest hot couple have what it takes to last the distance?

The fallout from last week’s deadly car crash continues to intensify, with the forensic evidence now pointing to Logan (Harley Bonner) being at fault. Is Logan responsible for a young woman’s death? Is the hotshot Doctor’s world about to come crumbling down?

Mackenzie’s (Emily Weir) dance with the devil takes a dangerous turn when she finds herself out of money and out of her depth in the illicit poker underworld. Having declined PK’s (Ryan Johnson) indecent proposal to clear her debt in exchange for spending the night with him, Mackenzie is reeling when she realises how close she is to losing everything. But when Dean (Patrick O’Connor) tells her PK was only lying to get her into bed, an incensed Mackenzie wants only one thing: revenge.

Mackenzie’s attempt to play PK at his own game backfires badly, as an armed robbery at Salt leads to Tane (Ethan Browne) fighting for his life in a pool of his own blood. Will a devastated Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) have to watch the man she loves die in her arms?

It’s not only Mackenzie that PK and his cronies have their eye on, in the wake of the robbery, Dean is shocked to receive a threat against his son, Jai. A fearful Dean decides to take matters into his own hands and calls in reinforcements: the River Boys. Just how far will he go to protect his family?

i’m having a hard time imagining Michael Ross or Shane Parrish coming to the Bay as gangsters out for revenge lol

I remember Willow and Alex as a gay couple but didn’t Seven edit out a kiss or something .

Shortland St in NZ is much more progressive.

Cash looks like a male model not a cop and Rose looks like the uniform is too big for her.

Wish the Chloe character was written out with Mia.

(He is referring to King Street in the southern part of Melbourne CBD which has a number of nightspots and strip clubs, and violence is rife in the precinct especially in early mornings on Saturdays and Sundays)

I live in a small regional Qld beach town. The only crimes I ever hear about is people getting their car stolen . Edit : Car stolen by people under 18. Then you hear about a burnt out car somewhere.

Report on 7News tonight that Home and Away has been estimated to add $1billion a year to the Australian economy. Wow.

Guess it’s safe then because it’s ratings this year are diabolical.

What a surprise they’re pumping their own tyres, again.

Seven commissioned a research report by ACIL Allen, which was unveiled today by James Warburton at a Committee for Economic Development of Australia presentation in Sydney, where he called for the new Labor federal government to close the loophole which allows US streaming giants to bid for AFL broadcast rights.

The ACIL Allen report can be found here
