Looks like it has stopped animating.

How much coverage do we really need though? They could have easily chosen to do nothing and stick with just alternative programming but instead they are covering events - good on them.

Sounds a bit rich for just taking the BBC world feed?

The LIVE logo bug is gone too.
Thank god

BBC World News is the best - no watermark and no clutter

It’s a lot more than just taking the world feed. They’ve just finished 6 hours rolling coverage plus several live crosses for their 6pm bulletins as well as presenting a significant portion of the Sydney bulletin from London then continued until the lead in to the start of the funeral feed.

So its now delayed, pre-recorded???

It’s watermarked as live on BBC uktv +2 :stuck_out_tongue:

I would argue that an event of this nature, of such historical significance would be best shown on the main channel, not on 10 BOLD, and without ad breaks. Not utilising their full resources like their reporters over there in differing locations for such a night will come back to bite them, very keen to see how 10’s coverage rates compared to 7 and 9.

Of course it won’t rate and they know that. It’s on a multi channel. I’m more interested to see how The Amazing Race and HYBPA goes up against the funeral.

Looks like people are enjoying the alternative anyway.

100% agree, people don’t turn to 10 for identical coverage.
They could however turn to 10 for alternate programming.
given how blanket the coverage has been for the past 10 days, it’s a good bet to try and provide an alternative for viewer fatigue

If it’s LIVE then have the LIVE bug up! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Virtually no-one could care less what the ratings are for the funeral on 10 Bold. All the interest will be on the main channels and all the details of that. Will viewers in each market stick with their usual news service? How many will stick through the whole service and watch the ceremonies afterward etc? Ratings for 10’s alternative offerings; etc I have to wonder what the point of SBS showing the funeral is; they had so little coverage of the lead up over the last 10 days. They must have a large back catalogue of royalty related shows they could have shown across last week.

The two-minutes silence. Bliss.

An example of how CNA (a Singaporean news channel) is covering the funeral. They’re not broadcasting the entire funeral like most other news channels around the world, however they’re providing regular updates as the proceedings unfold.

GCTN:

Possibly the worst place to watch it because the feed is dropping out.
