Seven is just being typical Seven, trying to do too much and not being able to capture the essence of the occasion. This is supposed to be a reverent and respectful occasion yet they just keep doing things in a sensationalist and tacked on way. They need to tone it down a bit and go back to just doing the coverage rather than being full of themselves.
Prince George was just picking his nose.
He’s been like that all week. Cutting in over reporters including Sarah Greenhaulgh.
Seven and Nine’s altered watermarks - Seven switched off the live+ time after Nine reduced theirs.
ABC and SBS
Just a reminder of how awful the news bulletins in Australia are with their terrible banners, bugs, watermarks and sound effects. I have been reminded how much better new bulletins and news coverage is in the UK without them.
Altered watermarks?
The seven logo keeps animating too.
Even at a royal funeral, Seven’s attitude is “look at me!”
Nines now looks the most clean out of the two
IMO. It’s just the LIVE tiny bug and the 9 gold watermark.
Seven meanwhile needs to flash its angles and animations on their watermark/bug ![]()
Seven’s “The Grateful Goodbye” tag on the super at the bottom sounds incredibly naff.
Even CGTN Europe has live coverage on its YouTube page however the problem is there is too much stuff covering on the screen.
Seven’s coverage has been on in my house and IMO it’s nowhere near as horrific as you and others are making it out to be.
Does it have its faults? Absolutely but I can definitely say the same thing about Nine’s coverage as well based on viewing it for a while (there’s a reason why I flicked between BBC, ITV & Sky UK during the build-up).
I wasn’t expecting tasteful mourn porn from them
WSFM and SBS Radio and Nova was also covering it.
They are even broadcasting it on Highland FM Bowral.
ARN Regional/Cada playing music.
When you look at all of those, the screen clutter on 7 & 9 isn’t so bad.
Sunrise Facebook just posted a good BTS of the Buckingham Palace site with Nat Barr. 7 are right next to NBC and you can see Morning Joe getting ready.
A few days ago, 7 put greenery behind them. Looks like NBC do too but no one else. I wonder who organised this?
7 seem to be very close to Buckingham Palace and don’t have a front on view.
Sky News UK seems the same, along with every other international broadcaster. Take a look at the above caps.
Seven and Nine seem adequate.
