Hit Network

I guess the difference here would be the content. Being talkback, 5AA probably touches on more serious newsworthy topics. The stuff on Mix was just fluff.

They’re trying desperately hard to make Tim and Ange seem as experienced and sacred to Perth as Rick and Sue.

If they push this sort of cringe fluff all the time cross promoting their radio and tv brands I think it will be a brutal awakening as to just how long gone the “golden era” is that 7 in Perth blatantly pretends is still existent and thriving today.

It’s a clickbait exageration title.

Good timing. Good to see them promoting the show - a different style to KIIS1065.

The shoot was unscripted, the listeners didn’t know what to expect when the cameras showed up, other than to be themselves.

Interesting promo given Triple M is also getting a TVC.
Seems like SCA are really going to benefit from the lack of strong ARN breakfast shows

The four or five 25-39 year-olds left watching Channel 7 are going to love this.

It was already covered 2 days ago.

SCA need to be all over the TV’s. I’d be pushing 2Day hard during Idol with Kyle on Seven.

So odd for 2Day to take the countdown. I wouldn’t had done that.

Even more oddly, Perth’s Mix94.5 also took the countdown!

It was soooo good to have a break from the sh**ty, overplayed 80s stuff that they usually play. Pete & Kymba spent a week focusing on the 90s as well (music, interviews). Hopefully this means they’ll shift to more of a 90s/00s focus. I’m so done with the 80s. It was over 40 years ago now. Time to move on.

I predict 80s music will be around long after most 00s music is gone and forgotten
I think 90s will have some longevity though. I actually find current music better than the 00s decade.

It really comes down to what music was around when you first fell in love with it. I got into music as a teenager in the ’90s, so that era—especially pop—will always mean a lot to me. Looking at it objectively, not all of it has aged well, but the nostalgia is what matters.

Some songs instantly take me back to a time when my biggest worries were finishing homework and figuring out what was for dinner—not dealing with bills or worrying about whether my daughter’s cancer might return.

Agree about the 80s and 90s music. I think 00s has good stuff too.

I don’t agree with that. I think good music fell off a cliff after that. Current music is mostly manufactured and disposable. I can’t see it having the longevity of previous decades.
