I would have thought that any revamp would include the national shows like Carrie and Tommy, plus The Hot Hits.
Why? National sales. No point having a network sales offering without Sydney.

I think you might almost have the opposite effect - Sydney locals making decisions not able to look past how poorly 2Day does and not look at the very good position the rest of the network is in.
Leverage the fact ARN will also be using DAB stations to promote “complete” national networks and put 2Day/Hit on DAB/streaming only into Sydney. You can still claim they are in 50 something markets across the country, and have the widest audience reach even without Sydney FM.

Bernie & Emma G welcome Bel Sloane to SAFM Breakfast full-time in 2026
SAFM’s Adelaide breakfast show is expanding in 2026, with Bel Sloane joining the team full-time.
From Monday, January 19, Emma Georgiadis returns to join Bernie Vince on the airwaves after a break to welcome her first child, but this time, there’s a new addition.
Bel – who filled in while Emma was on maternity leave – will remain on the Breakfast show, which will now be called Bel, Bernie & Emma G.
To that I say, they’ve found a reel of tape and are trying to stick the wheels back on.
Yeah, OK I did not see that coming. Obviously they think they can continue to pull it off as a duo without Jimmy.
But fair play to 2Day/SCA, give these guys a bit longer with the revised arrangement (at a lower cost) and a bit more time to determine whether the show and the format will actually work or not. As much as Jimmy leaving was an easy out for them to can it, it’d probably just see another show end up as a sacrificial lamb in that slot on 2Day anyway.
Give it six months and if the show and station still aren’t performing, I reckon you’ll see another reboot of both.
Surprising result but obviously blowing it up and starting fresh wasn’t the solution either.

So they did another Ash Bradman to Jimmy? Interesting that these 2 are/were best buds from school and how easy money can tear people apart. Jimmy also has mental health issues hes expressed in the past, no doubt used against him.
So many questions as to what’s happened at 2day breakfast. Jimmy’s gone due to apparent mental health reasons and the entire Jimmy & Nath brand is wiped from the internet. Not to mention the cryptic and concerning comments on here and other sites.
Whatever has happened, Nath deserves the chance to see if he can make it work as a duo with Emma.
Nath & Emma are just holding the fort until Lu & Jarch get their hours up to takeover the spot.
They need an actual breakfast show, it’ll be Nova for me.
For once, does it include 2Day104.1?
