Your entire premise of bringing this up was cost savings in the context of the newsroom cuts. If they are still making the same Hobart breakfast but not airing it outside the market, then it’s not a cost saving.
If you want to just say they should swap from the Hobart to the Melbourne breakfast, then just make the argument on what the better show for listeners would be, but that’s not what your posts were.
But doesn’t networking that show into Regional VIC cost more than networking a Melbourne brekky show? Surely a Melbourne brekky show is cheaper to network into Regional VIC?
People in Warragul don’t have a Hit station anymore since SCA turned it into Triple M back in 2020, and those in Warragul craving Hit content are already listening to Fox FM, so they would be waking up with Fifi Fev & Nick.

Ahhh well, I suspect that the Hobart based show is much much cheaper to produce.
I can’t imagine the payroll in Hobart is anywhere near their Melbourne counterparts and that’s not including producers. I suspect the Fox show has a production team, where as the Hobart based show has potentially 1, maybe 2.
From a technology point of view I suspect that the content can be ingested from anywhere and spat out anywhere using SCA’s platform, I think its called SCAsat. So technology cost are irrelevant.
And lets not forget Hobart would still need a breakfast show, from both a competition point of view (I think Dan and Christie were number 1 last survey) and a legal point of view, so you go from spreading that cost across 5 stations to 1, and that probably makes a Hobart based show marginal.
And I do wonder if anyone outside the capitals actually cares anymore about were the content comes from, regional Australia is sooooooo conditioned now to content from the capitals or further, that does it matter it’s not made ‘around the road’….I suspect not, its about content and the Dan and Christie Show is not bad, not bad at all.
what makes the cost difference? Same crews in the same studios just some changes to distribution. The cost change in doing that would be fairly negligible if not non-existent?
Game Changers suggest Hit should go national with Carrie and Tommy for Brekky and Lu and Jarch for Drive, with a female friendly pop mix format.

Honestly Craig Bruce is impossible to keep up with all his stupid opinions. A week ago he was praising Fifi, Fev and Nick. Now apparently he wants them sacked and replaced with a national breakfast show 
This is the same podcast that was this week critical of radio shows for not putting enough effort into their content, but also the podcast that was recorded on a Tuesday for a Saturday release so they completely missed out on all the big news from ARN…. 
All current brekky hosts across the Hit Network will be made redundant if this happens. And that would be a free kick to Triple M who has local brekky shows even in regional areas.

Fifi, Fev & Nick host afternoon O.B. at Crown ahead of the Melbourne Cup
The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick got the Melbourne Cup celebrations off to a flyer yesterday afternoon, with a special live broadcast from Crown Melbourne, in partnership with the Victorian Racing Club (VRC).
The Fox trio brought the party indoors – out of the rain, and outside their normal breakfast hours – hosting pre-Cup festivities for more than 500 guests at the Crown Atrium rooftop between 5 and 7pm.

Carrie Bickmore was named the Victorian nominee for the 2026 Australian of the Year, during a ceremony in Melbourne last night. She was honoured for raising money for brain cancer research over the past decade.
She and the other seven nominees will attend the national Australian of the Year ceremony in Canberra on January 25 next year.
