Hit Network

Dan & Maz were great, and I agree, should have been given more time and space to build the audience.

However, with the benefit of hindsight, there’s no way that show would still be on air today. Both Dan and Maz had their own personal battles while that show was on, and while more support and less pressure from management might have helped, they still would have come to a head and the show would have imploded.

little disappointing they’re still not giving ME&E a go, but at least Jimmy and Nath are staying over the summer break to get some form of chance, while the other normal brekky shows are off

Sorry, but I just need to vent about the above Hitmas.

Is it just me, or is this just a mish-mash of pre-recorded, pre-produced hybrid mix of network & podcast shows going to air on a day when practically nobody listens on the day. They may as well play back-to-back party/hit music with Christmas songs thrown in.

Unless they came out saying, “We’ll be live & local across Christmas Day playing your Christmas requests”, then I think this is all just blown out of proportion.

End vent.

I had 2DAY on last night for an hour or so. It sounded so good with the non stop mashups on a Saturday night. The format over summer has been fantastic.

The fact The Fox’s Amanda Lee is now in charge of 2DayFM, I’m hoping we’ll see a similar strategy for the two stations (with 2DayFM moving away from the older variety format of 2024).

That must be a surprise for Ryan Tothill.

Amanda is Head of Hit Metro Content, so she oversees the metro CDs

What is Ryan’s role? Because we never hear from him - not even regarding the recent 2DayFM Breakfast announcement.

Is Amanda Lee, ‘mad mando’ that Fifi, Fev & Nick often refer to as while they’re on-air?

Yes.

I always wondered if Amanda Lee was also Mamajugs back in the old Hot30 days.

I think so? Amanda has been with SCA for a long time, taking over from Gemma as head of hit network after her fun tenure (lol).

She seems to be a strong leader capable of managing talent and content overall, even if a bit intimidating/stern. She developed will and woody when she lead hit92.9, and has steered Fox pretty well over her time there.

Probably a tough ask but does anyone have a copy of the Hit news/weather/traffic idents or music beds?

NYE announces on instagram look tragic. My guess is nobody will be listening anyway?

The Hit Network should really just let DJ Konsky takeover from 6pm-3am with Blender Beats. No talk on NYE.

The Hot Hits with Nic Kelly and Loren Barry (!!) starts tonight on Hit Network and goes five nights a week.

It’s 4 nights and Saturday afternoon.

I wonder where that leave Mike E and Emma?
