Hit Network

I smell a story arch.

I wonder who the big sponsor is?

Melbourne’s Biggest Party - Hit Network (listnr.com)

So long as The Fox/SCA keep doing things like this, they will continue to dominate over KIIS101.1’s K&J. In fact, several episodes ago on the Melbourne Radio Wars podcast, Wade Kingsley actually suggested that The Fox do a “Melbourne’s Biggest Party” event off the back of their recent TVC campaign.

I wonder if The Fox campaigns/promos team listen to this podcast, or if it was always on the cards?

Regardless, it is also timely considering there is no Fridayz Live event this year. Another solid point of difference from The Fox than to KIIS101.1.

In fact, I don’t think ARN do anything close to Fridayz Live which is a massive event for all.

ARN would be mad to network K&J into other markets following the mediocre arrival into Melbourne.

Melbourne will be a 2-station war between FF&N against Jase & Lauren.

If they keep doing a local Melbourne show, they will dominate over KISS 101.1 for years to come.

Given they allowed Kyle and Jackie O to expand into Melbourne in the first place, despite Jase and Lauren showing improvement, and the fact that Kyle keeps mentioning Brisbane every now and then, plus managements claims that they are trying to adjust the content to make it less sexual, then I’d say they will keep expanding.

However, I think they will only do it when the presenters in Adelaide and Brisbane leave on their own accord - would avoid some of the backlash associated with sacking Jase and Laruen.

As a Brisbane KIIS listener, keep Kyle & Jackie O off our airwaves.
I don’t mind Robin & Kip at the moment and based on what I’ve heard, we don’t need that in our market.

Fox FM has launched the second season of The Underdogs, a team designed to give kids excluded from sports due to bullying or health issues a chance to shine. The Underdogs: Basketball Edition will give these children the opportunity to take the court at John Cain Arena on October 31, during half time of the NBL clash between Melbourne United and Sydney Kings.

Are The Fox listening intently to the Melbourne Radio Wars podcast? This is exactly what they suggested FF&N do - with The Underdogs 2.0.

Or they’re just continuing the arc because it’s good?

Any news on who takes on the afternoon shift?

“Afternoon shift”s don’t exist anymore. Elissa is doing 10-3, in line with every other cap city Hit Network station.

What happens between 9-10

Oh wow, is every Hit station just running one announcer 9am or 10am till 3pm weekdays? Does this mean only one announcer now for 2Day, The Fox and B105?

The Fox has two workday announcers.
