** NEW POSITIONER ALERT **

I just spotted this on a 2DayFM win page:

2DayFM – Sydney’s Best Variety of the 90’s and Noughties
Your chance to win $50,000! | Hit Network

sounds very Mix 106.5 lol

I wish Mix94.5 would change theirs. Good Times, Perth’s Best Variety is such a mouthful.

I’m guessing that means no new music on 2DayFM at all now?

Silly - considering the networked night shows are mainly new music. And what does it mean for The Hit Hits as well?

Just keep it as “Sydney’s Best Variety” or I’d actually suggest changing to “Today’s Best Music”.

I actually quite liked “Sydney’s best variety” but I also don’t mind the new positioner. I haven’t notice them drop the 80s music but I’ll give it another listen tomorrow.

Further to my earlier comment about 2DayFM’s new positioner, I can see below that SAFM Adelaide have also been given an update:

SAFM - Adelaide’s #1 Hit Music Station
Win $50,000 with SAFM’s Money in the Music | Hit Network

What’s old is new again, they’ve used #1 Hit Music Station so many times now.

So they’ve changed their playlist then? Back to Hit Music? And less 2Day?

Who remembers when Hamish & Andy did this?

H&A only did Horse Mascots though. So there was a point of difference with the J&N one.

Fox’s Fifi, Fev and Nick is organising a footy team called the Underdogs, to make a special moment for kids who are struggling in school or sporting clubs. The team will take to the field before the AFL match between Carlton and Port Adelaide at Marvel Stadium, on Friday night, July 26, with the support of the AFL and Seven.

More details (and for parents to register their children) can be found at the Fox website.

I cannot believe Hughesy, Ed & Erin are doing a lie detector segment. It’s some of the hosts (not listeners) but still I thought they would not even utter those words ever again in that company.

Why would that be?

Fair dinkum. Who would listen to this garbage. Aren’t there broadcasting standards that radio stations have to adhere to? Shouldn’t this stuff be banished to late nights and not in the mornings with children listening?

Hahaha! 2DayFM should run with promos saying, “From the station famous for its lie detector segment”…
