Erin Molan can work at both radio and TV at the same time, Rebecca Morse hosted breakfast on SAFM and presented 10 News First Adelaide at 5pm, before she was made redundant by 10 in August this year.
2Day breakfast and Friday and Saturday 6pm Sydney Sport are two good roles to have.
Iâm not disputing that, but at two separate companies?
Remember that Nine has increasingly been trying to ensure that their biggest stars are on-board âteam Nineâ across all platforms.
I would have thought Erin Molan was very divisive for such a role.
Well at least on 2Day breakfast, nobody will hear her!
And if he takes up the role, it wonât be just a problem, it will be a huge challenge to resurrect 2Dayâs ratings.
And Hughesy too. Not for the same reason of course. But a lot of people canât stand him.
Pity they canât find some new talent to put in the mix.
Yeah, Hughesy would probably have a lot more fans if he didnât scream many of his jokes to make them sound funnier than they actually are!
The most positive thing I can say is that at least SCA arenât just taking the cheapest option for 2DayFM Breakfast by simulcasting Hit Regional NSW brekky on 104.1 Sydney.
But otherwise, my expectations arenât exactly high for this new show. Will probably rate as poorly as their previous efforts with there being another âWake up to an exciting new breakfast show on 2DayFMâ announcement made around this time next year!
Mix 94.5 moving to the Hit Network in Perth
Mix94.5 to become Hit network aligned station, Hit92.9 to become 92.9 MMM.
New brekky show for 929, Mix to keep CMK.
Wow.
92.9âs Xavier, Juelz and Pete will finish on Friday, November 27, but Xavier Ellis is staying at SCA as part of Triple Mâs AFL commentary team.
Could Basil Zempilas join the new breakfast show for Hit 94.5 next year?
Hasnât he got enough to do being the mayor of Perth?
He is the Perth Lord Mayor and will quit his breakfast show next month with Millsy to focus on his role
Theyâre actually just making sure theyâre not on team 7 who are clearly their biggest competitor. SCA and Nine arenât really competing for radio audience.
- The name is staying as Mix 94.5
- Basil, if joining SCA, is more likely to end up on Triple M. Heâd actually be a great get to launch the station.
More real than 96FM is at the moment, which is the clear target.

Maybe - when they play music that is.
The jumbled rock, sport and comedy format isnât exactly setting the east coast on fire at the moment.
I wonder how much the Mix playlist will change to match Hitâs. Mix still play a lot of 80s throughout the day
Iâd guess a bit of a slew away from the 80s towards newer stuff during local shifts. Clearly more different during networked shifts
