Hit Network

Not sure - they are all pre-recorded and sometimes repeated - most likely top of the hour though.

Lost opportunity there - P93 would have a zing to it, as well as bookending Nova 937.
Very late 80’s/early 90’s sounding, evokes feelings of Z100, quick zippy name to get out, high energy jocks, Perth has always had a few who aren’t afraid to give a good level of energy after all…

Given SCA’s love of Fox again, maybe Emu 92.9 might work? “Makes the competition bitter”

A little surprised no one has commented on Danny Lakey leaving Hit for Triple M nights.

Was mentioned in the Triple M thread.

Cheers was just reading the Triple M thread now.

Looks like @mrworldwide nailed it.

So it sounds like all the regionals, and Perth will stay as Hit. That seems nonsensical. Short Cut Austereo at your service.

And I also assume that this means Mix 94.5 will never become Triple M. If that’s the case, they need to get all the Triple M networked stuff off 94.5, and get its website back under its own domain, not triplem.com.au.

Weird how “cost cutting” is being cited here. Would cost more money to roll out the new brands than anything

I wonder if its an attempt to fix the stations ratings, or whether its got to do with any sale that could happen in the future?

Hit Brisbane seems to be doing fairly well though?

The problem with the Hit Network was they picked a branding that was still unique to each city with the station number in the name. Had they done it as just Hit or HitFM, they could have been able to do station branding during the national shows. “Here on HitFM” “Here on HIT” but they had to do it with the numbers which didn’t really work too tell.
In comparison to Nova who are able to go “Here on Nova” during networked parts because they don’t use the numbers in the name of the station.

Hit107 reverting back to SAFM won’t be too unusual because Cosi would often refer to the station as SAFM.

Really? Does Cosi on air refer to the station as SAFM?

How does management feel?

He would say it occasionally and it used to be at the end of South Aussie with Cosi where he would say Hit107, the old SAFM but its been 6 years since they re-branded.

Absolutely, Cosi will often say “back in the old SA FM days” when telling a old story.
