Will this be on 7Plus for us in Melbourne given it’s not airing nationwide?
Why aren’t these specials all on tonight? currently, it’s only on in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia then all other states wait until next week?
ANZAC Day Eve AFL is on in AFL states next Sunday.
That doesn’t explain why Hey Hey couldn’t have aired in all states tonight…

Because then 7 would be running repeats of who knows what (border security?) in non- AFL states next Sunday for the restart of the official OzTAM ratings seasons. At least now they have Hey Hey in those states and AFL in others.
If they run border security it is a free kick to Lego and MasterChef. At least Hey Hey may be more competitive and it’s not like there are spoilers from a nostalgic clip show.

Spot on. If it weren’t for the AFL next week, I’d imagine the HP thing would’ve aired nationally tonight and the Hey Hey 100 nationally next Sunday probably after The Voice at 8:30 or 9.
Problem is many fans of the show in NSW/QLD/WA will now watch it online and not live to air next Sunday…

Then there is no problem here. Viewers will see it next week. The average viewer would have no idea it aired in Melbourne and Adelaide today.

The HHIS Facebook page has 550k followers. Daryl posted about the split programming so a lot of the show’s biggest fans would be aware and may try to watch online by logging in to 7plus from a VPN instead of waiting another week. There were hundreds of complaints from viewers in NSW, QLD or WA that the show wasn’t broadcast tonight in their state

They were showing some Harry Potter special tonight in all the other states. I don’t really see why they called just show Hey Hey tonight. They called of had that Harry potter thing on next week.

Gonna venture to suggest that fans of HHIS or Daryl probably don’t know the first thing about VPNs , especially if they’re annoyed it wasn’t on broadcast TV.
