Just watched the kids special tonight. Brilliant episode. The kids were really clever. The banter between them and Tom were quite funny as well.
Season 6 Premiere
From Wednesday 17 February at 8:00 pm
Get ready for the return of Australia’s favourite quiz show. That’s right, Tom Gleeson is back! And he’s found another year’s worth of wannabe HARD QUIZ experts who are just champing at the bit to test their brains and come away victorious with the Big Brass Mug. There’ll be more bizarre topics, offbeat stories, and everyday experts who aren’t afraid to tell the world about their passion - and tell Tom where to stick it. And your favourite Duds are back too, for another shot at glory, or at least another shot at failing spectacularly.
So prepare yourselves, Australia: it’s time to play – HARD!
Episode 1: Four more gladiators stride into the Hard Quiz arena to do battle. This week, Janet wields her dugong knowledge against Sarah’s love of Bob’s Burgers, Ross’s fascination with space shuttle disasters, and Patrick’s passion for pipe organs. Join Tom Gleeson as he tests our four experts on their chosen subjects to find the one true Hard Quiz Champion!
Season 5 final episodes to be broadcast on 3 and 10 February.
Good to have this show back for another year. I didn’t realise that there were still two episodes remaining from season 5. At least they’re still to be shown.
Battle of the Duds
Wednesday 28 April
Four favourites return for a second shot at being Hard Quiz champion in the latest Battle of the Duds - Kristy (expert topic: the Arab-Israeli conflict), Julie (dingoes), Charlie (Vincent motorcycles) and Vinny (Lady Gaga).
Hard Quiz is having a mid-season break, with news quiz Win The Week taking the 8pm timeslot from June 23.
Next week is a repeat episode.
So Tom’s a NSW resident now is he? Better drop the ‘boy from Romsey’ schtick if so.
Series return
Wednesday August 18 8:00pm
Series 6- Episode 18
Four brave contestants put themselves under the #HardQuiz spotlight for a chance to win Tom Gleeson’s Big Brass Mug. Tonight’s expert topics: Kosciusko National Park, the violin, Nelson Mandela and anime series Sailor Moon.
So Tom’s not a NSW resident now is he?
Brunswick Heads Memorial Hall is in NSW.
Well that’s me told.
(I totally misinterpreted Brunswick Heads as Brunswick heads = people belonging to Brunswick. Been a long week)
About an hour away from the Gold Coast and close Byron Bay. Very cute place.
This week Tom’s special subject was morning television. “The TV shows with more hosts crammed into them than a Logies bathroom stall”.
Gone and well and truly forgotten
Had the question been asked on a special “Media Enthusiasts” edition of Hard Quiz, no doubt all four contestants would’ve got that one right!
